Ok SERIOUSLY, I need HELP!! ASAP!!
 

Ok people...I need your help, FAST please! :mad: :( Here's the problem. As some of you know, we feed Chicken Soup - well, now THAT has been recalled :mad: Well the canned food has anyway...which we DON'T feed - but still, I don't feel comfortable feeding them the dry anymore because it will probably be next on the list :mad:

Anyway, here's my problem. My babies are almost done with their bag of Chicken Soup (we've had it for quite a while since it takes them so long to finish an entire bag of food) so recently, I went and bought a new bag of Chicken Soup. Well, I haven't opened it yet and I WON'T be opening it. I am taking it back to the store and getting a refund. I am going to order them a bag of Canidae online, however...it will take a few days to get here so what in the HECK do I feed them in the meantime as they are nearly out of the Chicken Soup??? I seriously do not know what to do.

It has to be something that I can get locally (just a small bag) until the Canidae arrives (no one here sells Canidae so I HAD to order it..) just to hold us over for a few days. But WHAT do I buy??? Just about everything has been recalled!! :mad: I was going to go buy a small bag of Blue Buffalo just to hold us over for a few days, but now I see that THAT has been recalled too :mad: ERRRR! This is so frustrating and I don't know what to feed my babies :(

Is there ANYTING at Petsmart that hasn't been recalled??? It doesn't even have to be the BEST food since I only need it for a few days. Just SOMETHING...ANYTHING that hasn't been recalled so that my babies don't starve until the Canidae gets here as they are nearly OUT of Chicken Soup.

Natural Balance Duck and Potato is what I feed mine! They were on the venison but it was "pulled" from the shelf voluntarily by the company. Just remember any sudden change in the diet without gradual change may give them the runny poops! But I have had great success with the duck. And one other product that Petco carries is Solid Gold Wee Bits which is also very good and my babies love it!! JMO

Why dont you just home cook for them untill you get your Canidae. Thats what I have started doing

Solid Gold has not been recalled yet, and that food is sold at Petco. It's a high quality food and has a good rating on www.dogfoodanalysis.com. Good luck!

Some very high quality foods that have not been recalled are, Merrick's, Nature's Variety, Innova.... I was feeding mine Canidae but decided that I prefered the ingredients of Nature's Variety. If we find that they don't like it, we will go back to Canidae because it's a great food. Until you can get yours on Canidae, you might try one of these others. This recall business is getting out-of-hand!!!! :thumbdown

Ok I guess I should have mentioned that we don't have a Petco. :( The only ones that I don't THINK (??) have been recalled that Petsmart carries are - Nature's Recipe (or was this one recalled??), AvoDerm, and By Nature. I don't know anything about any of these foods - all I know is that I need a small bag of SOMETHING to last us for just a few days. Have any of the ones that I listed above been recalled?? Does anyone know??

I would have gladly taken some of your suggestions and bought the foods that some of you recommended, but they aren't available in my area :(

Since it is only a few days, I would feed chicken and veggies or hamburg and veggies (carrots, green beans and maybe a little rice). You don't want to change foods for a few days, then change again.

Royal Canin USA products have not been recalled. The only RC stuff recalled was out of Canada. Totally different products. We're still feeding RC here.

Marcella, I CAN'T....LOL my babies aren't going to have any food to eat pretty soon, I have got to go buy them SOMETHING! :( To my knowledge Wellness has not been recalled - but is it available Petsmart?? That is the question :rolleyes:

No I don't...but I have to do SOMETHING :( I guess I could just do like you said and cook them something myself until the Canidae gets here. Would be a heck of alot easier than trying to hunt down a decent food :rolleyes:

I just did a search and it looks like it\'s only the canned food..... is that right? Is the dry Chicken Soup ok?

i think that you should just cook for them for a few days....its better for them anyways!! i was going to finish my bag of merricks before i started cooking for bella, but once it is finished i will be cooking from now on. too many recalls, i just dont feel safe!!
