| I was faced with that same question ... decided to be safe, not sorry, so without her seeing me, I put the wee wee pad folded inside a little blanket in the bottom of the purse! Although she never did need it, it gave me peace of mind until she was old enough to hold her pee pee longer!

| Toto is such a little lady. Higgins would have had that blanket dug right up and that wee wee pad in ten thousand pieces in five minutes flat. I tried putting him in a purse, nice LL Bean Boat Tote, too, and he would have none of it! Mr. Wiggles. That's a good name.....Next two Yorkies are going to be named Dickens and Wiggles....... |

| Well, I would get two more if I could afford them and Don would listen to reason.......but.......sigh.......it's just Higgins for us....... Bettyeanne, the factory sent us some potential Casita buyers today and guess what? They have a Yorkie! A rescue. I told her all about YorkieTalk, so I hope she joins us here. They didn't have their Yorkie with them, but Higgins was nuts about 'em....he could tell they were Yorkie lovers....... |

| Fasteddie ... if you think for a minute that Yorkie lover's are fanatical, over-protective, etc. .... then you would be amazed at Casita owner's!!! Now ... combine a Yorkie lover with a Casita owner and that's the "ultimate" fanatical, over-protective, etc. .... Mary Ellen?!? Am I right or what??

| The "Slideout"* is ready! And we head out Sunday morning. We'll be stopping in RI to see the grandkids for a day, then on to KY to see some more grandkids, then SOUTH! Wish you and Patrick were home so we could hook up in your driveway for a night or two! Will be all set up on Site 371 on December 1st and looking around from Christmas decorations......I sure hope you guys are going to be able to make the rally in February.....wouldn't be the same without ya! And you are soooooo right about fanatics about their dogs and their Casitas! Higgins is all excited about going, too! I notice this topic is about putting a wee wee pad in a purse, and yes, we put wee wee pads in the Casita which is not much larger than a puppy purse...... |

| The "Slideout" is lookin' good!!! Wish we were home where ya'll could come visit!!! That would be great fun .... there's room on the drives for several Casita's!! What a great idea ... even have a large chain link fence attached to the garage ... perfect for lots of "puppy play"!! [we have never used it but it's nice and grassy ... Toto just doesn't have anyone to invite over!] Although we have had our reservation next door to you at Rock Crusher for months ... Pat is beginning to think we won't get enough time away from this project to go!! We have looked forward to it for nearly a year ... I hate this project!! It's the most "confining" we have ever been on! Did I tell everyone about Toto expressing her "opinion" last Saturday?! This project requires lots of office time for the agents so Pat has his own office ... Toto and I were visiting ... she was on her little baby snuggle blankie on his desk. She stood up and before I realized that she wasn't just "stretching her legs" ... she peed right on his desk!! OMG ... I almost fainted!! Blankie caught most of it, however, she did manage to "moisten" some notes that belonged to his boss and the corner of one file!! We laughed about it later!! If this project prevents our going to the rally ... I might pee on his desk!!!!

| Hi Everyone, When I took Chelsey to the vet this week... I picked her up an put her in the purse with her toy and a few treats. She was great. I was in such a rush i did not put the wee,wee pad in. We took the bus to the Vet as my husban had the car that day. So it was my first time taking the bus in mississauga, ont and the first time taking her out in the purse. She did so well. Chelsey was so quiet and didn't have any acciedents. We were out for 2.5 hours. I had to walk home because I did not have enough change to take the bus back. It took 1 hour... but that was fine. I think she really enjoyed being in the purse we even stoped off at the mall and walked around. Chester does not like the purse at all. |

| Good job!!! The more you take Chelsey in the purse, the more she will love it!! All I have to do is hold Toto's bag near her and say "kennel up!" and she knows she is going and gets so excited ... runs over, leaps up and lands butt first in the bag!!! It's hysterically funny to see her do this!! She jumped too high one day and landed on her butt on the other side of the bag!!! Who knows? Chester may get so curious, he may want to try the bag too!!

| Hi bettyeanne, Your puppy is so amazing you have trained her well ans she truly love you. please do share your training tips with us. In regard to the purse thing . I think your right. Chester is so picky.. with his food his toys , just about everything except playing. Since we brought home Chelsey , he is very courise about things he would never eat before or pay with. Gee , I gave chelsey a treat that chester just used to ignor. Before he would just look at it snif it and say yuk and walk away. Now these are the special made treats and they were not cheap. The other day we gave one to Chelsey and she likes it. We gave chester his normal one. Guess what all of a sudden chester wanted one. Go figure. I think chester was wondering were I took chelsey the other day. Maybe he will change his mind about the purse when he realizes Chelsey get treats in there. |

| Thanks, Ygeorge! The most important thing we have learned is repetition and to be consistent! If Patrick or I work with her on something new, we always show the other and we make sure that we both use the same one word command [sometimes it may take 2-3] and it doesn't take her long to learn! Since we are in a hotel suite until we get settled in here in Colorado, she misses Papa while he is at the office so I would hold her up to see him from the window when he would leave. The window sill is wide so one afternoon I put a couple of little boxes like a stair and with a treat lured her up and onto one of her little beds which I placed on the windowsill. I would say "where's Papa"? After about three times, I just said "where's Papa"? and she flew over and up in the windowsill on her own!! It was soooo funny! So now when he goes out the door she watches until she sees him in the parking lot when he leaves and the amazing thing is that in the afternoon she seems to "sense" when it's time for him and watches from her little "perch" until she sees him in the parking lot!! These are without a doubt the smartest little creatures I have ever seen!!! Chester will probably get so curious [or jealous] about the bag, I'll bet he will want to try it!!
