O.k...I just did the calculator for a 5 pound, moderate activity level dog and it said 2 medallions a day. For a 7 pound, moderate activity level it says 3 medallions a day. I was told they would gain weight on this diet so I would be careful about over feeding them. I know it doesn't look like much when it's on the plate but it does keep them full for a long time. After I make sure they aren't eating the dry food I'll take it up but I need to know Jo is getting enough since I cut his portion down. You might want to take the bag back that has the cut in it. It might be fine but you never know what cut the bag or what that object might have had on it...better safe than sorry...right? I hope TJ and Roxy love it as much as Jo and Riley do!

| My girls love the beef medallions. The pet feed store I bought them from gave me samples of beef, venison (they both refused to eat ) & chicken. Mine like the beef the best. I leave the dry NV kibble out, but they eat very little of it. I give mine both 3 medallions right now, 1 in the morning and 2 at night. Angel is 2.8 lbs at 7 mo and Bailey is 4.8 lbs at 22mo. Bailey has lost a bit of weight since we got Angel, running around and playing and I don't want her to lose any more. I also give Angel mashed potatoes & cream of wheat. She loves apples, carrots & broccolli. She is a pretty good eater just tiny. Bailey is somewhat picky. I love that thier poop is all dried out, and they poop less on this food.

Maybe I am at the wrong site for the food calculator? http://www.naturesvariety.com/ifc.la...544EHIp1C2012F Cause when I put in 5 lbs. and moderate active level - it says 2.4 oz and the 7 lbs says 2.9 oz. Roxy is actually 5.3 maybe 5.5 lbs TJ is actually just around 6.7 lbs. I do not want them to gain weight b/c the Vet said they could loose some. When TJ was 6 pounds he felt right and look portioned. When Roxy was about 4.8 pounds she felt and looked right. I will not overfeed them that's for sure. I will give Roxy (2 a day) and TJ (2.5 a day). Plus I will leave out the fresh raw green beans like I normally do while I am at work! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED - I almost want to eat all raw myself - hahahahaha ...actually, if sushi wasn't so expensive, I could eat raw fish for lucnh and dinner everyday and be happy

Right food calculator just the wrong option at the bottom. Instead of selecting a percentage of each food I selected 'compare all food types' and this is what came up: http://www.naturesvariety.com/ifc.la...544EHIp1C2012F The medallions are actually raw food but freeze dried so for that type and a 5pound dog it says 2 medallions...a 7 pound dog is 3 medallions. I think I did that right anyway!

Please excuse that last post...I couldn't edit with the correct information so here it is...we were both right! The freeze dried medallions are the raw frozen diet medallions without the moisture so for that type and a 5pound dog it says 2 medallions...a 7 pound dog is 3 medallions. You're right...for the raw frozen medallions it says 2.4 and 2.9 so check your bag and be sure of which one you have because they look similar.
