| What do you mix your kibbles with ? I think this question has been asked multiple times but out of curiosity my pup gets bored after eating the same food for awhile. She is eating canidae kibbles mixed with merrick can but from time to time she goes to this hunger strike and will not eat for 2 days. I have mixed her kibbles before with ceasar (I know is bad), dry liver, warm water, or cheese. I was wondering if you have better idea. She also lover raw food but I would like her to eat the kibbles because they say kibbles are good for her teeth. Any idea would be appreciated. BTW she eats twice a day (1/4 cup per meal) and I will take her bowl if she does not eat. Thanks. |

| Here's what I've been feeding and Tetley seems to like it. He's doing really well and all his previous chronic tummy upsets have all gone away! 1/8th cup of Canidae ALS about a tablespoon of shredded, boiled chicken breast (one chicken breast will last him all meals for about 3-4 days) 1-2 tsp Iams Puppy Gravy - roasted chicken flavour pinch of Missing Link He usually eats the chicken and gravy first, then comes back 20 minutes later for the Canidae. I feed him this 3 x day. Good luck finding something your pup enjoys! |

| Well since Science Diet has too much protein for my kiddos tummies, I mix Science Diet Adult (Small Bites) with Purina Dog Chow (Small Bites). But I do that all the time. They each it up. They LOVE it. |

| I boil a whole chicken, let it cool, then pick out all the meat and put it in my food processor with the chicken broth and make mush out of it. Then I pour the mush in gallon size ziplock bags, about enough so that when the bag is laying on its size it's about 1/2 inch thick. I stack these in the freezer. When frozen I smack them on my counter and they shatter. Each night I defrost a couple little chunks and mix them with my dogs kibble. Each yorkie eats about 1/4 cup of kibble with about a tablespoon of chicken mush. In the morning they eat the kibble plain. I've been doing this for quite a while and they don't seem to get bored with it.

| I feed mine Canidae kibbles with hardboiled egg/scrambled egg without oil, carrot, yogurt, cottage cheese, banana/apples, broccoli, (all these food on rotation with kibbles) some soft food from www.caninecuisine.ca. He loves his food so far. Oh, I sometimes add in some boiled chicken breast.

| I don't mix his with anything. Occasionally I'll put in some cheese, rice, or cottage cheese, or chicken broth, but most of the time he eats it plain.

| For Archie's morning meal, I sometime mix his kibble with shavings of carrots or Granny Smith apples, which attracts him immediately to his dish, since he is normally a grazer. Sometimes he'll eat only the added food, but sometimes it will spark his appetite to eat some of his kibble right off the bat, too. Eveing meal is usually kibble and about a spoonful of soft food.

| Tia had been on kibbles since we got her (we feed Eukanuba small breed puppy....and yes we are going to switch her to a healthier, more ethical food) and our vet had recommended giving her some soft food occasionally, for the purpose of exposing her to it (becuase one day if she needs medication or supplements, they need to take it with soft food, and we don't want her to turn her nose at it). She ate the soft food no problem...until I made a mistake. There was just a little bit left over in the can, so I put it on top of her kibble. Since then, she turned her nose up at just plain old kibble and went on a hunger strike. Since then, I've been putting a table spoon of canned food (Eukanuba small breed puppy ...again, we're switching when it's finished) with her kibble on top. Now she eats the soft food first and then she'll move on to the kibble. Sometimes she won't eat teh kibble at all....then she realizes that she's hungry and eats all of the kibble. I think she's smart enough not to starve herself...but man is she finicky! |
