For Archie's morning meal, I sometime mix his kibble with shavings of carrots or Granny Smith apples, which attracts him immediately to his dish, since he is normally a grazer. Sometimes he'll eat only the added food, but sometimes it will spark his appetite to eat some of his kibble right off the bat, too. Eveing meal is usually kibble and about a spoonful of soft food.
