| I had a male yorkie and boy did he have a big tube of lipstick. had to take him to the vets and he said that the opening for his thingy was too small. had to have it strched opened for it to glide in and out easier. sounds gross!! they are really uncomforable when this happens and it stays out for a long time. he needs help to get his thingy where it belongs. good luck

| Forgive me, but this is just too funny, like others before me have said "oh, the mental image" , I sure hope Mr. Peabody can find his way home soon. I think I would try the warm water, and if no luck, pardon me but as the TV ad says,"seek Emergency treatment". |

| Yup, it is an old post but I remembered it and did a search. My male neutered Yorkie has been having this problem for a couple of days. He has a vet appointment Wed. He's driving me off the wall, busy licking all the time. He's very occupied 24/7 and I hesitate picking him up, he's messy. My husband says he's loving his bed now. He has a small lipstick sticking out. I'm going to try the water and later sugar. I'll update after the vet visit. Jessica |

| How did everyone make out? Unfortunately my netered male Max had this problem and we took him to the vet and he said everything was ok well it continued & we took him back and it ends up they had to anesthetize him to lubricate and pull his skin which folded in back out over it but it started to slip back out so they put a catheter in him and sewed it shut since Wed and I take him back tomorrow Monday and they will remove the stitches & catheter and pray it stays in or he could have to undergo amputation!!!! |

| Just so happens this happened to our little guy last night. It was "stuck" overnight, we called the Vet 1st thing this AM and he said to try the sugar water. We tried it and it worked a little, then we repeated a few hrs later. Again it only worked a little. Since we sprayed him with sugar, we decided he needed a bath. Low & behold, after the bath, the problem was fixed. (I did read in this thread that others had fixed the problem with just a bath) So, the moral of the story is: baths help cure lipstick. |

| It works! Before Rocky was nuetered he would get "stuck" with his stuffed animals..I heard the sugar trick, so I put some sugar in a baggie and held it up to his penis, his penis barely touched it and it went back in with the snap of a finger.

| This happens everyday We have noticed for the last few years that Mozart does a lot of licking in that area and sure enough it comes out. We have taken him to the vet numerous times about it. They have discussed surgery but feel it could be risky. He is 10 years old. He is neutered and has been since he was very young. Nothing changed, but one day the licking started and the sheath rolled back. At first, it was infrequent, but it has become a daily problem. The vet says that we need to keep it lubricated, but he just licks it off. He goes for grooming once every two weeks. They know to cut the hairs back. Nothing seems to help, so we live with it. I address it early in the morning, when I get home from work and before I go to bed. Since he is neutered, we just monitor it carefully. |

| I have just found this old thread..... In all I have had 3 male Yorkies all I can say is THANK GOODNESS none of them have had this problem for the times some of you are mentioning, sometimes the hair causes them to get stuck in the " Lipstick Position " what a great term for it...... So I make sure I keep the hair short.... CAUTION: Please do NOT cut the hair around their " Pride and Joy " if you don't know what you are doing, you could cause more harm than good. But it doesn't help if their hair gets caught inside and makes it difficult to " return to normal " I am surpised no one else has mentioned this. I have never heard of the Sugar Treatment amazing, I wonder how it works ...... |

| Goodness, this made me giggle like a school girl! I was watching a show where it was about the real life of Bruce Jenner, they took their little chihuahua to the vet for this issue, he used vaseline and then massaged it back...
