Yup, it is an old post but I remembered it and did a search. My male neutered Yorkie has been having this problem for a couple of days. He has a vet appointment Wed. He's driving me off the wall, busy licking all the time. He's very occupied 24/7 and I hesitate picking him up, he's messy. My husband says he's loving his bed now. He has a small lipstick sticking out. I'm going to try the water and later sugar.
I'll update after the vet visit.
