What food do you feed your yorkie?
 
People are always asking what food to feed their yorkie. I thought it would be neat to see how many people feed each kind of food. You can select more than one answer.

Sissy gets mostly home cooked meals, but has an occasion nibble of Solid Gold Wee Bits and fairly regularly gets the Natural Balance meat rolls.

Nutro Ultra, canned and dry. I alternate the canned Ultra with canned Pro Plan. All are puppy formula. I also add Missing link when I can get her to eat it.

Layla eats Blue Buffalo... i don't hear much about it on here.. but its holistic... i'm in canada... so maybe that is why not many of you talk about it ... layla eats the lamb formula and just loves it!

Well, I'd like to vote but it says I can't...what gives? Anyway, I feed my boyz California Natural canned (breakfast and supper) and a mixture of CN and Innova dry. I bought a bag of Merrick's Grammies Pot Pie but it made them so gassy (oh, it was just awful!) that they will only get a few pieces at a time now...it's gonna take about 3 years to go through that bag!

Jodie--if you don't mind me asking, what do you cook for Sissy? I am having an extremely hard time with Diamond. She is a little over 9 months now and has been on the Royal Canin and she tried the Merrick's food for a little. No matter what, she always turns her nose up to it and sometimes she will go almost a whole day without eating. This just scares me to no end!

I asked the vet and she just said Yorkies are known for being extremely picky and finnicky eaters but I don't know what to do anymore!

Try adding a teaspoon of cottage cheese or a cook egg. You could add anything she likes to encourage her to eat.

Gus likes variety. From the list, he eats Canidae, Merrick, Solid Gold, and Innova.
Not on the list, Flint River Ranch, Wysong, and the latest Newman's Own Organic - a good food and they donate a lot of money to animal shelters and animal related services. :thumbup:

I could not vote either but I feed Innova and will be rotating to canidea I have recently been reading literature that it is good for the digestive tract of the dog for there to be periodic rotation.

If you come back to this and you are able to vote, I allowed the option to chose more than one. So you can vote for Innova AND Canidae, if you come back to this and you are able to vote.
