I forget but I have always given them the moist also. Does your pup have teeth yet. When I brought Chachi home at 6 weeks he didnt have teeth yet

she has a little bit of teeth but not a lot

perhaps for the next day or so, give her what she is accustomed to. I know they are not the best for our furbabies but for now to make her feel at home and getting used to her new surroundings, that might just have to do. Did you post pictures of the little one on another thread? I will search and check her out

I bet you are so glad and happy she is finally home with you.

The kibble may be to hard for her. I would continue to offer it and if she wont eat it give her moist

Congratulations on your new furbaby!!!

Just a tip I wish I would have heeded when we first brought Mia home - use distilled water for a few days then gradually add in your tap water. It's supposed to help with lessening the odds of getting diarrhea.

Mia was 9 weeks old when we brought her home & we almost lost her the next day. She went into that hypoglycimic shock. My advise would be to try to feed your baby every few hours - whatever she will eat (boiled chicken, cottage cheese, baby food, scrambled eggs, Caeser's etc) We tried EVERYTHING

Mia. It was a consant battle to get her to eat. She never seemed to like the same thing for any 2 days! I wouldn't be afraid to use that Nutri Cal - you use what you have to to get them to eat when they're little. Finally, she eats canned Nutro - about 2 tablespoons @ 6am & 6pm - and we leave dry Royal Canin out for her all day.

CAli was 9 weeks old when I brought her home but also the runt of the litter so she wouldn't eat what the Breeder sent home but she would eat a little of Maya's cesar wet food. I had to get her to eat no matter what as she had 3 hypoglycemic attacks. I also fed her little bits of chicken. I fed her every 3-4 hours for a couple of months. Just keep offering her food and nutrical and at any sign of hypoglycemia get her to the vet. Do you have someone to check on her during the week until she has settled in? Sounds like you are really staying on top of getting her to eat. Keep us posted.

My mom will be home during the week while I'm at school, and luckily I don't have school on Tuesday or Wednesday and I will be staying home with her. Also on Thursday I get out at 12 so I will be with her most of the day

wet food are more flavorful than dry so maybe give her that instead . . . hope she is doing okay.

Venus was about 9 weeks when I brought her home. At first she wouldn't touch the kibble, but would eat some canned. I don't know if it was the new environment, the teeth, or she missed her mom and sisters.

I gave her the neutra-cal about 3 times a day till she started eating good. The lady I got her from gave me some canned food, kibble, and neutra-cal. I'm soooo glad she gave me the neutra-cal!

Seems when I'd give her the neutra-cal, it would stimulate her eating more. Now she's about 14 weeks, and eats kibble, and is off the canned food.
