| Having Trouble Pottying Hi Everyone! Romeo, the smallest of my two new additions, has been having trouble going #2 today. He really strains and has been "scooting his booty on the ground." I read something about anal glands, but didn't know if this would make him have a hard time using the bathroom. He eats Science Diet Little Bites. SHould I take him to the vet tomorrow. I tried to call the breeder we picked her up from yesterday, but noone answered. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

| It could be his anal glands since he's scooting but it sounds to me like hes constipated. My pup was constipated once and it worked it self out in a day. I've heard you can give them pumpkin for that. I found on a first aid sheet that you could mix some mineral oil in his food for constipation too. I would take him to the vet if that makes you more comfortable but constipation usually will work itself out. If he continues to scoot though he probably needs his anal glands expressed.
