| how to remove a dead tooth?? so bunjee is starting to lose one of his baby canines. the tooth is just dangling on the side of his mouth, hanging on to the gums at this point. in the past day or two, it's change colors to a dull grey. is there anyway i can just remove the tooth without hurting bunjee? i tried wiggling and pulling on it gently but it's had no aparent effect. i'm afraid to yank harder in fear that it might hurt bunjee. but since it's just hanging on to the gums should i still worry? will it be okay to yank harder? |

| Imo... I would let it come out on it's own. If you're concerned you could ask your vet. But I would not want to do it myself.

| i guess my other motivation to get rid of the tooth is because ever since that loose tooth started changing colors, bunjee's breath has smelled like death. |

| Try giving your baby something he likes to chew on - that might help. It worked for us last week. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Try some rope toys and if nothing works.....see the vet...you don't want any infection setting in or the baby teeth interferring with adult teeth....good luck - time to play TUG OF WAR !! |

| I have taken old t-shirts and torn them into strips and made knots in them to play tug of war with. Reuger loves chewing on them and they're gentle to play with. When he had loose teeth I would play tug of war with him and it helped to loosen his teeth. He had a real snaggle tooth that stuck out too, but it eventually came out. Just give it some time.

| yeah little does my furbaby know, what a neurotic mommy he's got. i felt another loose upper molar. a really loose upper molar. and one dangling canine. i tried to pull the dangling canine out, but bunjee yelped so i stopped. i guess i'll just wait for it the old fashion way. come on bunjee... give mommy just one good canine!!!! |
