| Stella and Chewy question I recently read that they source their probiotics and antioxidents from China. Does anyone know if this is true. If you look at their web site you will see they brag about where all the other sources are from but when it comes to probiotics and antioxidents they just say they are added in. I have contacted S & C but have not received an answer back yet. Does anyone else know where I can look for this info?

| I will be interested in learning the answer too. Please let us know. I feed it to my Maltese boy. I do know that the rabbit comes from China so I never buy that type.

| S & C isn't answering my e mail. Reading the ingredient source is tricky. They can buy their probiotics from a US company but that company could be purchasing from china as I understand it. I also read their rabbit is now from New Zealand or some place like that but I will try to find that out also.

| this is what I found from a website called All The Best Pet Care.com. I find the lack of information on S & C interesting. The synthetic vitamins and probiotics are what interest me. PRIMAL Primal uses vegetarian-fed protein sourced from the USA and New Zealand from farms and ranches that practice natural, sustainable agriculture. Meats are certified cage-free or grass fed, free-range. Larger animals are grain and hay finished. All fish is wild caught. Manufactured in a human food facility, Primal foods contain no added hormones, steroids or antibiotics, no preservatives, no artificial ingredients, and no synthetic vitamins or minerals, and are grain and gluten free. All ingredients are minimally processed and 100% human grade, with certified organic produce. STELLA & CHEWY’S The premium meats that make up these raw and freeze dried formulas come from North and South America, Australia and New Zealand, and are manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. THE HONEST KITCHEN The Honest Kitchen sources only 100% human grade ingredients for their dehydrated whole pet foods. They use free range chicken from Petaluma Poultry in California, as well as Marine-Stewardship Council certified wild caught fish, cage free turkey and duck, and ranch raised beef. They use only non-GMO produce, and a number of certified organic ingredients, including organic fair trade quinoa, organic kelp, organic oats, organic barley and organic coconut. They’ve been working with many of the same trusted suppliers since they began in 2002, and require each supplier to follow their strict Vendor Code of Conduct, as well as provide them with a pledge each year to verify that what they’re buying is human edible, not adulterated, not from China, and produced under Good Manufacturing Practices.

| the following is a response I finally received from Stella and Chewy Good morning Karen, * Thank you for your interest in Stella & Chewy's.* I would be happy to provide you with sourcing information – to begin with, nothing in any of our products is from China.* I'll include all ingredients for your reference: ·******** The meats/poultry/fish are antibiotic-free and have no added hormones.* They are raised under the strict rules of the Animal Welfare Act. o** The red meats (beef, lamb and venison) are from North America, Australia and New Zealand.* They are grass-fed. o** The poultry (chicken, duck, goose, turkey and pheasant) are from North America and Europe.* They’re cage-free. o** The fish is North American, wild-caught. o** The rabbit is from Western Europe and/or North America. ·******** All of our fruits and vegetables are 100% organic.* They are all sourced from North and South America based on seasonal availability. ·******** The vitamin and mineral mix we use our products is formulated for us in the United States—the individual components are from the US and Western Europe with Taurine from Japan. * Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions. *
