| ![]() This is not a question I ever remember being asked when I worked as a tech.....does the kibble size have any kind of effect on oral health? I'm wondering if anyone has an experience of a bad effect if the kibbles are not small? Winnie is currently on 4 health grain free which are small bites for small dogs. Our older dog is on taste of the wild roasted lamb and Winnie has been helping herself to it....she really likes it. And I have no problem buying one big bag and having it last a month as opposed to two smaller bags and buying them multiple times. I just am wondering if the larger kibbles for Winnie (5#) will have any kind of long term effect on her teeth or jaw?

| ![]() Thank you....they both seem to be crazy for it! They both ate the 4 health really well....much better than they ate their other food. But the taste of the wild is just a whole different kind of crazy! I just hope they keep the interest. I'm planning on switching up the flavors since there seems to be a better choice of flavors in the taste of the wild... Misha has always loved lamb anything but this is a first for Winnie. She's had salmon before but that made her poo and her breath smell horrible! Next month's bag I may try to venison and bison (?) ....all I know right now is Misha has been on it for a few weeks and we figured out she's bribing all 3 of us out of 1 or two bowls a day! We were talking last night and realized that she had been fed twice by me, twice by my husband and once by my MIL yesterday! And that's been going on!

| ![]() Just wanted to add in that Sophie is 4.5lbs (maybe closer to 5lbs right now) and she actually prefers the larger kibbles over the small ones. I asked the vet about it and she said as long as she is chewing and not inhaling them, they are fine. My husband and I find the larger kibbles actually make her eat slower as she eats one kibble at a time and chews them. I hope the interest stays in the food for you! We are currently going through Sophie not being interested in her food and she has been trying to convince her to only feed her liver treats and Natural Balance meat roll! |

| ![]() You might find this interesting. It concludes that dogs of all sizes prefer larger kibble sizes. http://afbinternational.com/pdf/13-0...ster_Figge.pdf |

| ![]() When we fed TOTW the lamb and the fish were limited proteins while the other varieties had other mixtures (including chicken) Be careful when switching back and forth if any of your pups are sensitive. |
