| ![]() I'm confused here.... My Vet told me never to use both Frontline and Comfortis together, however you can use Frontline and Capstar. Frontline and Comfortis used together in one month is like giving your pup a double dose and could be deadly. It would be fine to rotate between Frontline and Comfortis every other month, so a tolerance doesn't develop, but they should never be given together in the same month and/or every other 2 weeks... You could however give a pup Sentinel OR Interceptor and Frontline OR Comfortis in the same month. |

| ![]() My brothers neighbors dogs were infested with fleas and one was a yorkie they used food grade diatomaceous earth on their carpets and also sprinkled it on the dogs and the flees were gone in no time. |

Yes, and that is what I did. . . it took a while to rid the dogs and the house of the fleas but I finally did. If it were not for the Comfortis we would still be infested. So, next year I will know exactly what to do to keep my pups flea free. I will be costly but so very much worth it. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Speak with an exterminator about your concerns. I have a great guy who comes here to take care of my fire ants and my pups have never had any problems. I listen to what he says to do and do it. Bottom line, I cannot have them covered in any kind of bug.

Again, my opinion is to treat the source of your problem....your yard and house.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() Yes Linda my vet recommend this and although I trust them fully I opted out of giving the Frontline because after giving the Comfortis and putting up my flea traps the fleas after two weeks there was no longer a huge problem. Instead I bathed them regularly and picked off any visible fleas by hand and unless I find out that the Comfortis and Frontline can be harmful to my pups I will be following my vets recommendations next sprint to prevent this from happening again. Yes and I will be treating the yard also . . Thank you for your concern !

| ![]() If it were me, I would remove my pets from my home and have it and the yard treated...then bring the pets back when it is ok'd by the exterminator. I had to do that years ago and is why I am saying it...I don't usually offer suggestions that have not worked for me. Fortunately I don't have fleas anymore...but I know what a pain they can be. Honestly, your home is the biggest concern. You will probably always have fleas in the yard. .. monthly treatments on your pups should take care of that.

| ![]() They are indeed horrible. I don't use flea prevention because I don't have fleas here for some weird reason, but whenever I see a pup scratch I look immediately because I don't ever want to go through that again.

| ![]() Comfortis CAN be given with some other flea medications, just like some people have to take two blood pressure meds, etc. Your vet should know of any interactions (e.g. spinosad and high dose ivermectin). Now that is not to say this is optimal long term. It, however, may he necessary short term. Consider the flea and tick combination products. It is no different. If you still see fleas in your carpet, then you probably have hundreds more (and thousands more eggs). If you are still seeing any and have been unsuccessful at treating your floors then call an exterminator. Do not use cheap flea bombs and wait for some magic to happen. First, it probably won't work. Second, you will have chemical alll over the place in prime locations for dogs and choldren to be pousoned.

I totally believe that if what a person is using is not working, 9 times out of 10 it is because of an infestation in the home.

| ![]() LOL...reminds me of the dealers at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City when it opened...1978 I believe. Anyway....the carpets had fleas that were supposedly being brought in from the beach and the dealers were actually wearing flea collars on their ankles!
