| I would take a fresh non refrigerated stool sample, just for kicks, should be done annually anyway, cheap reassurance, maybe $20. |

| Daisy Thanks for the good news that Daisy is feeling much better and sleeping well too. Is she eating any kibble yet or just chicken and rice? From the sad cat story it seems BB can have serious problems! I wish they would listen to all the bad effects some batches of their food have and do so something about it!! You asked about tests? I would certainly do a full blood panel, if it has not been done yet. The snap PCL pancreas test, and others have suggested a stool test for bacteria / parasites. But the vet will be better able to suggest needed tests based on her history and recent events It is annoying and frustrating to have to wait to see your vet, and I agree a new more available one would be a good idea. When our babies are sick we need to see the vet NOW!! Hoping your girl continues to improve and praying that any tests are good. Next week will be easier and less stressful I hope. :-) |

| She has not had dog food yet. I am going to talk to the vet about it tomorrow. The sad thing is that I can't be absolutely sure that hubby isn't sneaking her treats. He said he isn't but I know him too well. I told him I will have to tell the vet EVERYTHING she is eating, hoping to get him to fess up.

| Food I am sure that your hub is not sneaking treats, he would have been warned after the last mishap with food and treats. Daisy had a nasty attack on her system and is just taking time to get the bad stuff out and her tum healed. If she is still a bit queasy you might ask the vet if she should have a few days of Prescription canned food like, for example, Hills ID until she is completely well. Chick/rice is not a complete food alone. I have always had good results with the Hills for tum upsets. Good luck, and don't worry, Daisy will be fine I am sure. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I feed wellness, the complete health one with the chicken base. My poodle breeder who breeds show dogs recommended that food. My Yorkies really like it, their stools are formed and not soft, and I do believe this is a good dog food. I did not like Blue Buffalo. Stools were loose. I am glad you are going to give a high quality food to your Yorkies. |

Today I have had to focus my attention on Teddy Bear. He heard the smoke alarm chirp and was terrified. I took the smoke alarm outside but I just couldn't seem to console him. When hubby came home I took TB for a nice long car ride and he finally settled down. I'm just glad I was home when it chipped so he didn't have to listen to it all afternoon. We changed all the alarm batteries today. Bad mom and dad.

| Daisy You are most welcome. I have been where you are, as have most here, and know how it feels to have a sick dog. If Daisy is really OK and after the vet does any tests he feels are necessary and he agrees, you could try mixing in the Wellness/kibble with the C/R. But I always keep a can of the Hills ID in case my dog has a tummy upset. Poor Teddy, I sure know about that!!! My boy also is so sensitive to the chirps from alarms ( as well as fireworks, thunder, you name it!!). He goes absolutely crazy and nothing consoles him. In fact an alarm went off on TV while we were eating tonight and he was very disturbed. Doorbells do the same and there are a lot on TV too. I am very swift with the remote now. LOL! How sweet of you to take Teddy for a car ride to calm him. No bad mom/dad, how do we know when these things are about to go off?? Hope all is peaceful now and you all get some sleep tonight, you need and deserve it. :-)) Good luck tomorrow with the vet and any tests. Look forward to hearing how it went when you have a moment. Sweet dreams. :-) |
