| Who had a growth on the rim of the eye I know someone recently had a baby that had a growth on the black rim of the eye but I can't find the post. Macy has 2 little growths, one on the upper and one on the lower rim of the same eye. I have talked to her vet and he wants to take them off in his office. It isn't bothering her yet but I can tell they are getting bigger. Don't know if I need to see a specialist or let vet do it. He said he has done this many times before. Anyone else have this happen to their baby?

YT 2000 Club Member | I don't know if this is what you are describing, but, Prissy our 12 year old toy poodle had a black growth/tag on the rim of her right eye. I discussed this issue with our vet and it was decided to remove the growth. I held her food and water after midnight, took her in at 7 a.m. (Was a nervous wreck) and with a great deal of anxiety left her. Of course, I called the ladies at our Vet before it was time to pick Prissy up....and all was well. Thank God! While she was out, I had them to go ahead and do a dental too. Prissy did very well and you can't even tell where the growth/tag was. Again, I don't know if this is what you are describing, but I hope it helps in some way. Blessings and I pray every thing goes well with Macy. p.s. the growth/tag has not grown back.

| Glad everything turned out well for you. Macy's looks like a little white wart on her eye rim. The vet is going to look at it Friday. It doesn't seem to bother her but if it gets much bigger it will start rubbing against her eye.

| IMO if it's on the rim of the eyelid I'd let my vet remove it. If the growth was actually on the eye I'd go to a specialist. Doodlebug has a very small skin tag like growth on his lower lid that I just noticed the other day. He will be going for a dental within the next few weeks and I plan on discussing this with the vet. I would not hesitate to have him remove it if he felt it needed to be.

| Well we go today at 10 to see about Macy's growth on the rim of her eye lid and getting blood drawn for her titer test but now I have to take 2 dogs. Molly woke up with diarrhea, won't eat.... which is really strange for her, stomach is making loud noises and she just isn't herself. Hate it when they go to bed fine and wake up like this.

| I think it was Kristin? Maximo is her user name and I think it was Max that had something removed from his eye.

| The vet thought it looked more like a clogged pore than a growth. He gave us an antibiotic eye drop and I have to put a warm compress on her eye three times a day. If it doesn't go away on it's own he said to bring her in and he'll take care of it. I don't think it is getting bigger but it isn't going away either.

| I hope I'm doing the warm compress right....I tried to just put the cloth on the rim of the eye but she was not having any of that. Now I just put a warm cloth over the entire eye. The bump is in a place that isn't easy to get to. Molly got a shot and some pills and is back to herself. I have to watch her when we walk because she tries to eat everything in her path. We have a lot of Canadian Geese around a neighborhood pond and when we walk on our road we have to dodge the goose poop...and....they poop a lot!!! I wonder if she ate some on one of our walks and it made her tummy sick.

| Happy to hear Molly is doing well. That Canadian goose poop is irresistible to my boys too. ewww! You should be okay putting the warm cloth over Macy's entire eye.

| I had a growth removed from Minnie's eyelid maybe 4-5 years ago when she was getting a growth on her neck removed. The eyelid was no problem but she kept trying to scratch her neck by rubbing up against furniture (she had this protective shawl she wore for a couple of weeks after surgery).
