| Lola is home, she's pretty out of it but she gave me lots of kisses and stood up against my chest when we pulled in the driveway. The tech said I can give her a little chicken before bed. |

| I'm so glad that Lola is home with you and that all went well. I hope she heals quickly. Sometimes the pain medications make our little ones more needy and whiny, but you will see a big difference in her fairly quickly.

| Thanks everyone Lola ate some chicken breast, she would have eaten the whole thing if I let her, so I'm giving her a few pieces every so often so it's not a total shock for her stomach. She also drank a good bit, again a little at a time. I put her on her potty pad in the kitchen, walked a few steps away, and turned my back to her, the little punk quickly trotted into the dining room and peed on the floor. Ugh, I'll let it go for a few days. The vet sent her home with pain medicine. I start giving it to her tomorrow morning. She only had to have 2 teeth pulled and the vet did a mini cleaning while he was in there (her fangs were yucky from the retained teeth). Her favorite toy got spayed today too lol. |

| Very happy to hear Lola is home and doing well! LOL, her favorite toy. A lot of our toys have had surgery too.

| I think you did the right thing. As traumatic as the surgery's after affects must feel to them, I imagine it would be multiplied without you there to comfort her. I mean I just stayed at Cookie's side that whole day and night after I picked her up from her spay a few months ago.

| Lola is doing much better this morning. She's just very glued to me, I left her with my grandmom so I could try to get some sleep in my bed and she sat by the door crying for an hour so I had to come down. I guess she'll be ok in my bed tonight, I have the snoozer scalloped steps and she's not acting drugged/unsteady from the pain pill. |

| You might want to put a harness on her and attach her leash to the headboard just in case she should jump off the bed. I wouldn't want to take a chance of that happening. Glad this thing is over for both of you.

| Thanks everyone The inflatable kong cone is working really well. She hasn't tried to mess with the incision so she's only wearing it when I can't watch her. I think she kinda likes it, she was taking a nap earlier without it and she put one of her toys under her chin. She also doesn't run or fuss when I put it on her. Quote:
I think she'll be ok, she has the snoozer scalloped steps and she always uses them. She's not the slightest big groggy or out of it, even with the pain pills. I had her go up and down the steps a few times with the cone on, she didn't have a problem. Quote:
She's mostly back to normal, she just doesn't want me out of her sight. | ||
