Wow that is horrible. I hope Baliey is better. That is a scary thing to go through. I hope that CC will do what they need to do to rectify the situation. I would keep putting up the info on their FB page. And I would ask on their FB page why do they remove this when they are not doing anything about it

My Lady was proof that canine diabetes is not a death sentence. She was almost 16 years old when I lost her. Her diabetes was completely under control. She just reached her expiration date.

Thank you for sharing this very important info here. I am glad Bailey is okay. CC should reimburse you for your vet costs! I am a little disappointed in Chewy too that they didn't press things with CC. If it were my business, I would dump CC.

Any word from CC or Chewy? Wonders if this should be reported to High Tek directly since they made the food & packaged it, so it's technically their fault. It's just the way CC is handling it...who can trust them?!

I really don't expect to hear from either Chewy or CC at this point. I have given them all the information I have with pictures. They have to handle now - or not.

How nice to see you but how horrible for poor Bailey. I hope he is feeling better now. I fed CC for a while but stopped..glad I did. I was appalled at how they responded to your concerns so I sent an email to CC saying that they can try and suppress the story but the truth will come out and mentioned that their lack of due diligence and customer support was being discussed on a website with over 120,000 members.

Hooray for you! I am convinced CC will only do the right thing if consumers pressure them to.

It is a week today since I reported that my bag of dog food contained cat food and no warning or voluntary recall has been issued that I know of.

What a terrible situation. I have never fed CC, but would be devastated if something like that happened to Huey's food, because he already pukes with all foods I have tried except one flavor of BB.

LOL, I did the EXACT same thing the other day after I posted on this thread...I emailed CC and let them know I was the Moderator here, and told them about our community and membership count, and that we were discussing how this issue was so poorly handled by CC. I think it's important for them to know that the dog communities *will* discuss these things, so they'd better be transparent, rather than try to cover things up.

I finally found the date stamp on my bag with a magnifying glass. It was very difficult to see as it is was printed over a motif. It was not on the back of the bag by the zip lock as CC said, but on the lower left portion of the front of the bag.

I emailed the VP of CC with the information. He said that they would start an investigation of this batch today.

Here is the information so everyone can check their bag while we wait for the company to issue a warning or recall:
