LOL, I did the EXACT same thing the other day after I posted on this thread...I emailed CC and let them know I was the Moderator here, and told them about our community and membership count, and that we were discussing how this issue was so poorly handled by CC. I think it's important for them to know that the dog communities *will* discuss these things, so they'd better be transparent, rather than try to cover things up.
