YT 2000 Club Member | How do you organize health records? I am looking for a solution to organize all my pets records and papers. Right now they are in a folder and Teeka has a pet book, but it is way to small for what I need. How do you organize your health records, weight/height data, memories, etc.? And ideas would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

| I have a 3 ring binder for each of the boys that starts with the breeder contract. When we come home from the vet, I punch holes and put the papers in the binder. One of these days I should put in dividers to separate things like vaccination records. I also have a regular file for things like their AKC papers.

| I use a three ring binder and hole punch the papers. But that started overflowing and I got lazy, so now receipts and such are laying all over and piled in the front of the book. Her weight is always on the receipts, so I could just usethose to compare. I try to have a ealth recordwith vaccine summaries and major health issues up to date, but her hstory is now too long, so we just rake her with us when we leave town. lol. Lab results are (in theory) filed with the receipts in date order.

YT 2000 Club Member | Mine has the weights on it too! I have saved all of their vet records so far and that is why I was wondering how to organize it. Do you go year by year or just add on top of the older records?

YT 1000 Club Member | I do a sheet(s) in Excel for each of mine. Usually get about a year and a half across one page. Procedures/inoculations/tests down the Left Column, and Dates across the top, and just put an "X" in the proper cell. Also keep a Folder on each Animal with the hard copies of the receipts. Real easy to make a CD of that, when you go on a Trip CD would include Pictures, Ownership Documents, copies of other related materials.

YT 1000 Club Member | HA, but I have been known to be called "retentive" or something like that BUT, let me add one thing to that CD... A picture/.jpg of YOU holding your Dog, in an identifiable location, like outside your house, by your car with a clear License Plate shown, where you can prove possession in a location besides where you are/have gone. This level of documentation is very persuasive in proving ownership.

| Me too- All I do is toss everything into a desk drawer. I know everything I need for Cinders is in there. The only thing that's separate from the rest of the mess is her shot record!

YT 2000 Club Member | Do your vets give a card with their shots records? Kind of like our kids get when they go to the doctor.

I wish they would do that. Our vet doesn't have that, but on the checkout sheet, along with the weights, the next appointments for checkup/vaccinations are listed.

Wow great idea! Very Organized. I have been keeping the paper work in a large folder but I'm getting a 3 ring binder tomorrow. | |

| I have everything scanned into the computer. But I don't have the first 6 years of records on the older dogs. I throw out receipts but keep discharge info and labs.
