If these parts are not refrigerated immediately after the animal is killed they cannot be used for human consumtion, but can be for pet food. Also, animals that arrive at the dog food plant dead on arrival cannot be used for human consumtion, but can be used in pet food.
Now, I don't know, but I stand by my decision not to feed by-products. The other thing... dogs with allergies probably shouldn't be eating any corn.

Thanks for the info. My pups used to eat a Prey Model Raw diet. They ate all of those ingredients you listed. The only difference is that they were in raw form. There are many parts of an animal/ingedients that are not fit for human consumption, yet beneficial & necessary in a canine diet. Since you stated you're not feeding this food to your pups, then it really shouldn't matter to you anyway.

I dont believe they are using dead dogs for dog food I just dont and where is the evidence they are

I think they're around $1.50 per can. They were on sale at PetSmart when I got mine, so I think I paid $1.40something.

Recommended by my vet too....Scientifically formulated and nutritionally balanced.....and the quality control is the best in the industry. This is what is important to me...if any of my dogs would have an adverse reaction to any of the RC formulas, then I would look elswhere, for something else....thank God that has not been an issue....I am THRILLED with the new canned formulas....I have seniors that are going to appreciate this and puppies are easier to wean onto canned food over kibble....I am working desperately to get them to expand their product line in the USA, to include the puppy milk formula.....it would be a terrible thing to get busted smuggling in puppy milk!!!

SHOOT! I was at petsmart today to get the royal canin kibble yorkie jess eats. I always look to see if they added wet. I didnt look today because Jess was with me and it was her first trip to petsmart..
I grab a couple cans simply nourish. It looks like peope food! The ingredients are pretty straight forward too. I feed her both as a special treat sometimes..Ill look for RC canned next time

Funny, I just asked the clerk at Petsmart last night why RC doesn't make a canned version! Looking forward to when they are available in Canada, especially in a smaller can, like others, Enzo likes it much better before its refrigerated

Do you just mix a teaspoon or so with their dry kibble?

I just looked these up on dog food advisor ... and I do care because I care about the health of all dogs not just my own. the difference in feeding those ingredients raw and feeding them in a can of food is in the processing.

Our dogs would also probably love to eat potato chips all day, or some other snack, but it doesn't mean it is good for them.

It's very generous of you to do research on behalf of the health of all of our pets. I too have done research, but for my pets only. Choosing what to feed your pet is a very personal & individual decision. I feed my pets what works best for them. I don't expect everyone to feed their pets the same thing I do. Every animal is unique & every pet owner has their own philosophy. I do understand what a by-product is & now everyone who reads this thread will as well. However, this is a thread announcing my excitement about a new product I discovered this week. If you choose not to feed this product to your pet, I respect that. If you wish to educate people about your philosophies of canine health & diet, please start another thread.

I think that there is a little Yorkie in all of us .

I'm excited by the new Royal Canin products as well. My Bella eats their dry food, which gets a recommended rating by Dogfood Advisor. I'll be interested in reading their ratings for Royal Canin canned foods (the ratings haven't come out yet), but I'm glad that there is another feeding option.
