| Any other yorkies get hungry at night? Every morning I measure half a cup for the whole day for Joel. For breakfast and lunch he will only eat a tiny bit, like just enough to cover the bottom of his bowl and for dinner at night he finishes the rest of the measured food, and most days before bed he'll eat over half a cup. I don't think it matters since I think he's bony and knobby feeling, lol Just for dinner he had his dry food with cottage cheese and he gobbled it up and then rubbed all over the couch bc he loved it. And he'll also eat even more right before bed I was wondering if any other babies eat alot at night |

| I feed my little princess like this: - 6.45 am - 2.30 pm - 9.30 pm Everytime she gets the same amount of kibble. And during the day she gets snacks (not a lot), and in the evening one greenie. That's it. And she gets throgh the day perfectly - not hungry at all.

YT 1000 Club Member | I free feed Romeo. Some days he will eat breakfast as early as 8am and other days he won't touch food until well after noon. At night, and as late as 10:30 pm, he absolutely must have raw carrots and broccoli. It's HIS routine. If I forget he will run around the house, barking up a storm, to remind me.

| Columbo eats breakfast sometime around 6 or 7 am and dinner around 5pm. He gets his chewable dasuquin, plus other treats at lunch, and then treats/snacks throughout the day. Columbo is a bottomless pit and would eat continuously all day if he could! It is his favorite thing to do. |

| Toki also loves a late night snack! Toki is definitely not a big morning eater (which is why her AM meal is either raw or mixed with canned to encourage her to eat) so she is very ready to eat later on in the day. She eats breakfast around 7:30 and dinner at 6:00PM or so...I reserve about a tablespoon of kibble to give her when I get home from work around 10:15 at night...I feel like it helps prevent her empty tummy yaks that she used to get in the early AM when I give her a little snack later at night. |

| My girls eat breakfast between 7:00 - 8:00 and dinner between 4:00 - 5:00 (home cooked) and a kibble snack before bed. If Curri doesn't have a bedtime snack she throws up bile during the early early morning hours because her tummy is empty

| If allowed Kaji would eat 24/7. If you ask him, he'll tell you he's hungry even after he's already had his breakfast or dinner. The only time he won't jump up at the idea of food is when he's in a deep sleep.

| Georgie loves a little late night snack Last night I brought a special K bar upstairs and sat down to eat it at 9ish. He jumped up and came over to me. I then got up and went back downstairs to the kitchen and we had our snack together

| We started giving a snack around 730 -800 pm on the advice of our vet to eliminate throwing up in the middle of the night. Worked the very first night we did it Of course now he hunts us down for that snack if we are even 5 minutes late! |

| I thought maybe Moses was weird! He gets 2 Primal raw nuggets at 6am or so, and 2 more when I get home after work. His bowls are in the laundry room and if I am in there doing laundry, he bangs at his bowl for Blue Buffalo kibble! I don't want him to turn into a porker! But he always acts hungry!

Seeing all of your responses, I'm now wondering how common this is in yorkies??? I've never had a dog do this before ZoE, so I was extremely concerned about her early morning puking, but when I talked to the vet about it, he thought it no big deal and suggested the late feeding.
