| This simply isn't true. My Ellington is about 13 pounds and almost skinny. I am currently trying to get him to a gain a bit of weight. Some yorkies are just bigger. Still a yorkie, still fab. |

| When I bought Gracie the lady told me the mom was 8lbs and the dad was 7lbs. She told me my puppy would be some where in that area. Well, Gracie is 2 years old and 5lbs. It was a shock to me during her first year just how small she was. Her bone structure was much finer than my Shih Tzu or my Maltese had been. She was so tiny and fragile looking (she didn't act fragile) that I was always having to protect her from herself. Even at 5lbs I am concerned about her. But anyway there is just no way a breeder can give you an exact weight that your puppy will be when full grown. As I said your dog is not fat. She may gain up to another pound but that is normal. She needs that extra body weight. If a skinny dog gets sick it can lose weight and die much more quickly then a normal weight dog. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | My Jaxson is already 5lbs & he's under 5 months old! The vet is extremely happy with his weight gain & she says he should be around 8-10lbs fully grown. I'm very thankful that she has yorkies of her own & is very knowledgeable. |

| but either way I just don't want her to look over weight either. it would be nice if she would listen when we call her every now and then she will do what we tell her but not that much she think that she can do whatever she want. |
