Canidae is made at a Diamond facility but it's not a Diamond food, if that makes sense.


For example, Canidae, Natural Balance, etc, ship in their OWN ingredients to a Diamond plant to be made. Whereas, TOTW *is* a Diamond brand food.

Still, would be cautious... but I feel better about Natural Balance than TOTW. Canidae had his fair share of issues, too, and I think a lot of people stopped feeding it when they switched a formula.

I hope Wellness works for you. When on Wellness, Rosie had major eye junk. It was awful. But I think others have had success with it. What about Blue Buffalo? I am thinking of trying that next.

I thought about Blue Buffalo at one time but then read too many GI issues.

I home cook for Rosie now (she has IBS) and Mikki eats it most of the time. Mikki likes having her dry dog food too. I used Petdiets.com to get my recipe. But then I have changed it up a little too with the help from Lisa. We use chicken all the time. But I change between brown rice and sweet potatoes. The girls prefer the sweet potatoes. Then I add in green beans or carrots. Along with the recommended oil and the Balance It supplement. Really it takes me about 2 hours for 2 1/2 weeks of food. And a lot of that is just cooking time. So it is really not bad.

Rosie has only had problems with her IBS one time since I started home cooking. And I think it was my fault. I used green peas and I think they irritated her tummy. I really think it is worth it.

She doesn't like her veggies much . She was in the process of strewing the peas all over the living room when I snapped the pic. She needed to get rid of every last pea before she would finish her sweet potatoes and lamb
