It's more common in spayed bitches though. It can be caused by many things but a UTI is most common. However, it can cause a UTI as well.

| Had a pup who had it, it is just an infection/ inflammation- it is cured with medications and not hereditary or genetic.

From what I can tell from reading about it is that it should correct itself after her first heat and that the new owner should keep an eye on her so that it is being cleaned properly. Sounds pretty simple to me... but the new owner is making it into a huge deal. Demanding her money back or a new puppy. The women says that it is a surgical problem, that the pup will need to have sergery to correct it. I dont think so....

| My previous Yorkie, the late great Loosie, had an inverted Vulva. I had her for 11 of her 12 years, and she didn't have any, not even one, case of vaginitis or UTI. This is easily managed just by keeping your dog clean.
