YorkieTalk Newbie! | can someone please help me !! my name is Felicia and my yorkies names is rocko he is a little over a year old and just found out that he has some form of liver disease and has to begin taking science diet l/d prescription and they didn't give me a dosage for him to take of it and they are closed today he weighs six pounds if anyone can please get me some info on this it would be greatly appreciated thanks, Felicia |

| Welcome to YT. There should be feeding guidelines on the bag/can. Start with the minimum recommended and make adjustments based on our pup's weight/body condition. You probably should mix new food with od foodand slowly transition.

| for those who have their dogs on rx SD foods. Try a raw diet. Research has shown great improvements. IBS is some what of a fancy label for diarreah/GI issues. Which is a common side effect from switching to a healther, higher quality diet. Just like if a human were to switch from McDonalds to a fresh food diet (raw diet etc). |
