Gidget came neutered by her breeder before we bought her, but our vet is not the cheapest in town. I think they are a very good practice, though. They have 4 drs, plenty of staff, staff present overnight, etc. I am willing to pay a little more for better facilities/care. I think if you are happy w your vet, $450 is not unreasonable for preop blood work and follow-up care included - a little on the higher side, but not unreasonable, especially, as Ellie May said, if they are not skimping on the preop blood work and anesthesia.

WOW, does his breeder REALLY thinks he's big ? I have one 15-17 pounds, and he is small to me ! haha

If its something then your boy is in the right size, and if something else then a little bit smaller then they should be.
Here in Iceland yorkies are around 8-10 pounds and that is considered a good heatlhy size.

Does his breeder breed teacups? just thinking :P
