| Make sure it is NOT pie filling. That is NOT good. You don't want all the extra sugars and junk, that is not good for them. It has to be PLAIN canned pumpkin. Just regular pumpkin. You can give that to them straight. I hope your little man feels better! Keep us posted. |

| How much chicken did you feed your little guy? Sometimes overfeeding can cause diarrhea. When giving a treat like this, always compensate by reducing his regular food by an equal amount. If you serve chicken in place of a regular meal, the chicken should be equivalent of the regular meal. Hope he feels better soon.

I'd actually fast Ritz for 1 meal, let that all finish digesting, you can give just the pumpkin to help firm up whatever stool's left to come out though, ONLY 1 teaspoon though. Hope he feels better

| I agree that was probably too much chicken. Lucy does fine with plain, boiled chicken and a little broth on her food ~ but it upsets my Westie's stomach for some, unknown reason. If the plain, organic pumpkin does not do the trick and your little one contines to vomit and have diarrhea, I would notify my vet. Good Luck.

| vet said to feed chicken I have a 10 week old yorkie. I took her to vet today because she took a seizure last night. Vet told me to feed her nothing but cooked chicken. Is this normal for yorkies? |

| No it's not normal. Was the seizure caused by a hypoglycemic episode? -that is common when they're that young. If that's the case he probaly told you to feed the chicken just to make sure she's eating somthing and protien is good for keeping glucose levels stable. You can't feed only chicken long term tough, she won't get all the nutrients and vitamins she need from chicken breast alone, especially cooked. Follow you're vets advise for now, she's still really young and technically should still be with her mom for two more weeks, so you just have to make sure she's eating every 4 hours or so and if she likes chicken but won't eat dog food, go with it for now.
