| LOL!! Yep, normal and fine. My Livi does this sometimes and she will even toss the piece in the air and paw at it when it lands on the floor....she also growls at it, while she's wagging her tail. I guess they like playing with their food. |

| Lila does the same thing, except she takes one bite, goes in front of the T.V. and then eats it. She's never outgrown it. The only time she doesn't do this is in front of other dogs. |

| Yep, our old dog, Guru (not a yorkie) used to do this. He would take a few kibbles in his mouth, walk over to the carpet, and eat the kibbles there. He would return to his bowl and repeat this until all the food was gone. I don't know why dogs do this, but it is a pretty common behavior. If you've ever watched wolves eat in the wild, they sometimes do something similar with pieces of their catch. It is not uncommon for a wolf to take a piece of the carcass and walk off with it.

| Here we were thinking Kasha was a weirdo! I've never met a dog who doesn't eat from the bowl but Kasha takes on kibble at a time on the carpet!! Funny little yorkies!
