| Today I bought the Blue Buffalo Lamb Puppy food. Zoe loves it. I asked the vet at each visit if she is overweight and she always tells me no. I do feel her rib cage and her tummy does go upward towards her tail area. She feels heavy to me though. She was 5 lbs at her last puppy shot visit which was a month ago....she's at least 6 lbs now I'd say and she recently turned 6 months old. I was expecting a yorkie to be light-weight but Zoe is an individual and always does her own thing!! Lol

| I guess most people who about the weight is to assure themselves that their puppy is ok. Zoe gained a lb a month for the past 6 months and vet said she's not overweight. But I suspect she is on the heavy side of normal. LOL But my daughter's yorkie is a yr old and only weighs 3 1/2 lb so I thought 'that' was the normal weight for yorkies. After hearing...and reading.. all the medical problems they can have with LP I didn't want her to strain those little short legs of hers by jumping up and down...although she just discovered it's great fun jumping up and down the sofa and chairs. Besides Zoe was so extra tiny when I first saw her. She was totally a snuggle-bunny and lap dog. After thinking about it for a couple of weeks I decided she was too small and told the breeder I was too nervous taking a puppy that small. She said Zoe had gained weight since I last saw her (we were out of state at that time). The week I picked her up I couldn't believe she was the same puppy. She had completely filled out and was rambunctious..no longer a snuggle-bunny but acted more the part of the super-hero running all over to try to save the day. LOL.

| I feed Yipee two times a day. One in lunch and another 1 in dinner. I feed him Acana ever since I got him. He loves it and never tried to switch it. I know Acana is kinda expensive on my budget but I will do anything for my Yipee. He's my baby.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Question-Pooping - How much is too much? My 5 month-old YT is eating NOW Puppy Formula. I feed him three times a day. Is pooping 3 - 4 times a day normal or should I change his food? |

When I first joined YT they all recommended that I switch to Blue buffalo because when I got her she was eating Eukanuba. of course I had to do the mixing of the food from 3/4 of it being Eukanuba then 1/4 of the mix being Blue Buffalo then gradually going to 1/2:1/2 of the food then 3/4 of Blue Buffalo to 1/4 mix of Eukanuba till she was use to the new dog food. =] All together I fed her about 1/2 cup of food. My Suki is 5 months too and since I've changed her food she no longer asks for the Eukanuba she loves her Blue Buffalo. =]
