cooper eats grass and never gets sick, I bought him an organic grass kit that you grow yourself, they say its good for them, I didnt mind him eating the grass just didnt want him to eat the junk they spray on it,, well the grass grew in a few days was really pretty fresh grass,,, cooper wanted nothing to do with it, he wants the yucky grass from outside. I guess i could have guessed at that one and saved myself 6 dollars

Lulu loves to chew on grass. I don't think she swallows much b/c she's never thrown up. I like to call her our little weedeater b/c she goes after the longer pieces of grass that my dh may have missed with the lawn mower. She just wants a nice looking lawn to run around in...can't have uneven grass!

As long as you don't spray any bug/weed killers or fertilizers on your grass, it should be okay. However, I would not let her eat grass anywhere else (park, neighbor, etc.) because you don't know if it was treated with anything.

What I've been told by vets (which is a little different from the article) is: dogs should not want to eat grass. If they are eating it regularly, they are either trying to soothe an upset stomach, or they are missing something from their diet.

Puppies will try to eat ANYTHING, so I would just discourage them from eating it.

Jackson LOVES grass- usually when it's freshly cut or in the beginning of spring. I have no idea why. He likes to graze like a cow. He's certainly not missing anything from his diet (Orijen and Acana kibble), and 99.9% of the time when he eats it, he doesn't get sick. He will eat it when his stomach is upset too but it's only happened twice, where I knew his tummy was bothering him, and he ran outside and ate grass like I've never seen before and finally he made himself throw up whatever was bothering him, so I think it can work both ways.
