| sleepy after advantix I am a little worried about Callie today. I gave her a bath last night and treated her with advantix after she was dry and she acted tired like she always does after I put the the advantix on but normally the next day shes fine and her normal self. Well today she is still acting tired. She has slept all day only getting up to go potty outside. One time she got up and went and layed in the sun on the deck for maybe 5 minutes then was back inside sleeping. Has anyone else's baby ever slept a lot after treating them with advantix?

| Jackson's never seemed extra sleepy after Advantix, but he did sleep alot today due to the rain. Rainy, humid, muggy days usually do that to him, lol. Hope Callie feels well soon.

| Advantix contains permethrin which can be toxic to some dogs. If you suspect this is the case, try washing it off. Permethrin and Pyrethrin Toxicity in Dogs |

| Yeah Callie hates those days too but she is normally more active inside then she was. She is acting a lot more like herself today thank goodness.

| Help!!! I used Advantix for the first time the on monday and on tuesday my Pearl threw up twice and my Kiroshi was scratching his shoulder area where I applied the med . I had to go to school so I didn't was it off right away, but my goodness I got scared after reading reviews on advantix. I had my sister wash them again and I hope it wasn't too late. Pearl isn't throwing up anymore and she seems fine, but Kiroshi is still scratching really bad. I'm not sure what to do. I use to use Revolution on them but I decided to try Advantix and now I'll stick to Revolution. |

| Permethrin can make them feel like something is crawling on them. So the scratching could be a common (but not ok) reaction. I'd talk to the vet. They may want to medicate with something to stop it. OP: I'd disconinue if it's causing lethargy or tiredness. It's a reaction and I'd hate to think that it could be worse next time.
