| I am so happy i found this forum! We adopted annie this weekend and we have waited a long time for her (well i have anyway, it took 5 years for my husband to give in). We adore her already, and amazingly Timber our 12 year old half collie half husky does too (hes taken the big brother roll quite well). But here are some questions i have, annie has been eating grass and about an hour ago threw up grass all over me. is this normal? she also has been very sleepy today, just hanging out on my lap (as she is doing as i type this) and lounging. she did have a busy weekend meeting all of our friends and their animals but i just want to make sure this is normal. i know yorkies are high strung but she isent (which is fine, reason why i think timber loves her). i am also wondering about her sleeping arrangements. she desperatly wants to sleep in bed with my husband and i. I am just so scared one of us will roll over on her in the middle of the night and being she only weighs 8 pounds this scares me! How can we keep her off the bed? I have friends who use squirt bottles on their dogs but will this hurt her? i am new to all of this and am so in love with her, so any advice will help! thanks! |

| How old is she? Being sleepy all day in a puppy is not normal. Maybe sleepy after hard play, but just sleep altogether, not. I don't know about eating the grass. Obviously if you catch her don't let her do that. Did you just get her? Have you had a vet check her out? That is the first thing I do when I get one. I have 3 and all 3 sleep with me. I used to let them sleep in the bed under the covers with me, but they ended up disrupting my sleep so badly, I now put their crates on my bed where they can see me and they sleep in them. 8 pounds is not tiny, but it really depends what kind of sleepers you are. Would it be likely one of you could roll over on her? And make sure she is used to the bed and won't fall out and get hurt. Welcome to YT!

| Welcome, be careful of the grass eating, fertilizer and weed killer are poison. If she has not been to the vet for a check up, you should take her, and let the vet know about the grass eating. Sometimes they eat it because they have an upset tummy. As for the sleeping with you, my Sofia is only 2 1/2 pounds and she sleeps with us, I wouldn't have it any other way, but it has to be what is best for you everyone is different. |

| Mine eat grass all the time. We do organic gardening in the back so I am not worried about them eating it. Also, all three sleep with us. Teddy started early - he was 13 weeks old when he decided he loved the bed. LOL

| Our dogs sleep on the beds with us all the time. I guess that's a personal choice. Not sure about the grass eating. Some say they do this when they have an upset stomach. What are you feeding your dogs? Maybe the food isn't agreeing with her? We have had good luck with Nature's Variety, and the kibbles are small and they have no trouble eating it. |

| How old is she? I would definitely would take her to the vet for a check up. I feed my pups science diet, haven't had any problems and they seem to like it. As far as sleeping with me, my little one is 4#s and he has to be touching me if he's sleeping wether it's on the couch or in the bed. Sebastian who's 5#s prefers to sleep a) by my head so he can look out the window, or b) sleeps at the end of the bed because I move around and disturb his sleep. It's personable preference. |

| How old is she and did she get all her shots? Be careful meeting other dogs/animals if she is not fully immunized. A lot of dogs eat grass when they feel sick so they can throw up. But as earlier posted be sure there are no weed killers or fertilizers used. If she hasn't improved by now I def would take her to the vet. |
