| Our FrontLine vs "Theirs"? Does anyone have any experience buying FrontLine Products from on-line resellers that drop ship pdts from Australia or the UK? OKPets.com and a few other comapnies have more favorable prixing but when you order they say it'll arrive in slightly different packaging, (still says FrontLine), but other resellers claim it's NOT the same. Our dogs have ocassionally itched and scrathed after their first treatment of this (after a year on regular FrontLine from the US) without incident. But our neighbors Yorkie (from the same breeder and litter), she has scratched to the point of scabs and has never had this reaction to FrontLine before. Does anyone know the real answer to this? IS it the same? Is it more than just justifying higher pricing than Canada for corporate profit (like US human drug companies)? Thx for any and all input. We only care for our babies. If we can save a few bucks, we try to... Just like on our own medicines (Generic vs Brand, etc). But never at their expense. Help please? |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have bought flea products from an online source - Deadfleaz.com, they are in Australia. All of the products they sell DO come in the mfgr packaging though, the only difference is, the recommended weights are listed in kg not pounds like US packaging. I don't know about other companies and if the products are counterfeit, but do know the Deadfleaz place sells the real product. Also with your neighbors yorkie, maybe she is allergic more so to the flea bites than your yorkie is? Or.....I've had a vet tell me he thinks a couple of the flea products (Fontline being one of them) don't work as well any longer, that fleas are growing resistant to the chemicals. Maybe your neighbor could switch to another product?

For any of the products to work the flea has to bite your dog, then the chemical kills the flea. My problem with that is I don't want to see the fleas, at all....period. I want them dead BEFORE they can get to my dogs. So, we treat our yard, I use Adams flea spray on the carpeted areas, wash their bedding once a week (beds that can't be washed I spray with the Adams) and I have been using Frontline Plus on the dogs for any flea that gets by the other treatments. I also use the Adams spray under my couch cushions, just in case any flea larvae are there. I don't like using ANY chemicals and try to avoid them whenever possible. But, I dislike the fleas even more, so resort to using just what I HAVE to, in order to get rid of them.
