| My baby won't even let me get close to his ears (or anything) with the clippers. Don't beat yourself up over this, it was an accident not an on purpose. |

| Sorry to hear your fur baby got hurt. Were you trying to trim the edge of her ears? The flat surface can be trimmed w/clippers, but you should only use a scissor to trim the edge. Hope she won't have a fear of clippers now. My Mimi had her bottom lip burned at the groomer's by a hot clipper blade when she was a pup & she's terrified of clippers still.

If you use a Whal Peanut.....you can cut a very sharp edge on the ear without fear of nicking. I use them to trim foot pads too.

| I accidently cut Hot Rod's ear when he was a baby. Thankfully he didn't even realize what happened. He winced and turned at me but didn't get totally terrified. Me, on the other hand, was a mess. I couldn't stop crying because I couldn't get it to stop bleeding. It eventually did but if you look closely, you can still see it; fortunately his ear hair covers it all up. Give your baby some extra TLC.

| I nicked Aprils once when she was a baby, and felt horrible about it, it wasn't huge and she didn't even feel it, but it bled a teeny bit. Have learned since then : ) I use a blunt tip scissors after a bath when the hair is wet and pull it up between my fingers away from the ear leather edges and trim that hair that way. (against my fingers, so scissors is flat against my fingers) Use a small wahl trimmer for the insides and back of the ear. (The time i nicked her was using the trimmer on the edge of ear, and she pulled away from me)
