What type of clippers were you using. I've nicked with scissors, but, wasn't even trimming the ears. So, I don't know how I did it. Never, never use scissors to trim the ears.
If you use a Whal Peanut.....you can cut a very sharp edge on the ear without fear of nicking. I use them to trim foot pads too.
