I accidently cut Hot Rod's ear when he was a baby. Thankfully he didn't even realize what happened. He winced and turned at me but didn't get totally terrified. Me, on the other hand, was a mess. I couldn't stop crying because I couldn't get it to stop bleeding. It eventually did but if you look closely, you can still see it; fortunately his ear hair covers it all up.
Give your baby some extra TLC.
