| Skin Problems Hi, my little girl which is now a mommy has been having some bad skin conditions. Her skin is extremely dry and had pimple-like bumps all over except on her head, face, and bottom tummy. Her hair has been coming out badly and dry. I thought about changing her food. I currently have her on Science Diet adult small bitesm but thought about switching to Royal Canin Yorkshire since it is initially made for them, it might not have whatever it is that Science Diet is probably becoming an issue for my little girl. I heard someone on a thread say to add flax-seed oil or fish oil to the food. Could that work? Thanks for any kind of help, I am desperate to make my baby better!

| My Arabella had dry skin and the vet had me add fish oil to her food. You said that she is a mom now, how new of a mom is she? Could she be having a hormone imbalance due to delivery. I am just a furmomee but I know with humans after delivery the hormone readjustment can cause all kinds of problems. I am sure someone else with experience will chime in soon.

| Since it just started I'm not sure if this is the case... but it might be a corn allergy. Science Diet is mostly made of corn and have very little real meat products. Dogs are not meant to eat corn because they can't really digest it as well as meat. You may want to try a food with more meat ingredients and less/ no corn. When you go to the pet food store look at the ingredient list and look for something with an actual meat (lamb, chicken, ect) at the first 2 ingredients and one that has no corn products in the list. |

| Sounds like a Staph Infection. I think you need to bring her to the Vet |

| That was my first thought. The stress of pregnancy, nursing, etc. may have triggered it. Have your vet take a look. |
