| Does getting carsick ever go away???? Help me out YT. We have had our new little boy for about three weeks. He's 4 months old. We've been trying to get him used to traveling in the car. He gets carsick each time. Does this ever go away? How can I get him used to traveling? What has worked for you? |

| Max used to be sick lots when in the car - he used to travel in a cage with a towel lined on the bottom. We bought him a really fluffy car bed and he hasn't been sick since. Not sure if it's entirely to do with that or he has just got used to being in the car.

| Maggie was awful in the car or on the boat. You could just see it in her eyes and the expression on her poor little face. When she finally reazlied that she could stand up in the snoozer car seat and look out the window, it was like a miracle! Now she loves to go into the car. Everytime we go out thru the garage for a walk, she runs over the car to get in, lol. I am thinking that being able to see out has a lot to do with it--just like humans. Hot Rod got sick a couple of times and each time, I had him in a carrier in the car. Once I got hiim the snoozer, he's never gotten sick again.

| We have tried several things with Camden, medication, ginger and unfortunately nothing has worked! She rides the best out of all three. She doesn't bark, pant, whine and just lays there, but she throws up almost every time! I keep hoping she will get over it, but it's been two years and it's not happened, so I sympathize with you!

| It might pass. Sophie never really got sick but she was apprehensive being in the car at first. Sophie now has a Pet View car seat and really likes to travel. First we took her on short trips to the store, etc. Then took her on 2 hr. day trips. In February we traveled 1840 miles with her in Here she is on our trip her car seat and she did great.

| It does go away in many doggies. My Meika threw up every time, about 45 min. into a trip, for her first year then stopped. What helped her was being up high enough to see out, and I wish I had gotten a car seat. What I did was unsafe and I don't recommend it while driving; I held her on my lap, and lifted her up periodically to look out, and kept stroking her to get her to relax. In the meantime, don't feed them within a few hours of driving, and of course carry lots of towels, or pee pads, wipies, and a change of clothes for yourself. Good luck.
