Concerning spices, I'm pretty sure it's not 10%, probably more like .01% and the good news is most insects are actually pretty healthy for us! They do say, if people could get over the yuck factor, farmers could use less pesticides, which would probably be a good thing, but if my cinnamon has 10% roach parts, I'm paying too much!

I'm sure hay has lot of rodent hair and rodent poop, does that sound better? They are both allowed in human food as well.

Do you think this will effect their dry kibble line that has chicken or chicken fat in it?
Mickey did not want to eat the new bag of NV Prairie Lamb & Oatmeal I just opened. So I switched to Acana Grasslands the next day. Both are lamb...he loves the Acana and still will not touch the NV if I put them side by side.

I didn't believe it either, cinnamon can have 5% insect filth, I didn't mind eating the insects, but not their poop.

From what I understand from reading on another board, the minimum limit is salmonella required for a recall is the HUMAN limit. This is usually not enough to make a healthy dog sick. Apparently Bravo went through this a couple of years ago and did a voluntary recall but no dogs got sick and rarely anybody returned their product. I'm not sure if this is the case with NV but it's definitely a possibility.
