I can understand why a certain amount of a bug can cause issues. I mean, we have staph.aureus all over our skin right now, and it's fine, but if we break the skin and happen to have an overgrowth of s.aureus and the right conditions, it can be disastrous. Like, in spices (for humans) I think it's 10% can be insects...so does that mean more than 10% could cause us problems or...what? (just an analogy) |
Concerning spices, I'm pretty sure it's not 10%, probably more like .01% and the good news is most insects are actually pretty healthy for us!

They do say, if people could get over the yuck factor, farmers could use less pesticides, which would probably be a good thing, but if my cinnamon has 10% roach parts, I'm paying too much!
