| Eukanuba Yorkshire Does anyone use this food? Do you think it is any good. I thought possibly because it is breed specific that it might be beneficial. What are your thoughts? |

| Yes, we use it. Sophie was on Eukanuba small breed kibble until she was one year old and is now on the Yorkshire Adult. She really likes it, is very healthy and has good check ups. I wanted to use the breed specific for her coat and such.

| Did you have a bad experience with this particular brand? I'm asking because I was going to put my new pup on this food. What do you feed your babies?

| Not a good food at all. Here is a site that can give you an idea of what is good: Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble

| I went to the Diet Forum on this site and saw that Royal Canin got an A+ and they have a Yorkshire Terrier formula so I might see if Sophie likes it.

| Omg, that food is rated ONE star. I've never searched for a food before that has rated so low! Dog Food Reviews - Eukanuba Yorkshire Terrier - Powered by ReviewPost Ahhhh, and just found out this food uses Ethoxyquin to preserve the fish meal. I would stay farrrr away. Here is the LINK to a thread where we discussed Ethoxyquin a little while ago.

They don't need to eat a special yorkie food. Royal Canin isn't even that good either. There's corn in there. | |

| I think you have to do what's best for you and your dog. There will always be the best/worst food debate but so many things play a factor. My yorkie is a finicky eater so I give him what he'll ear to prevent hypoglycemia. Do they sell/deliver some of those high end foods in your area. Is it affordable for you on your monthly budget? Just feed what's best for your dog as an individual. If your breeder is feeding him eukanuba then feed that until you learn your dog and do a gradual transition when you are comfortable . |

| Eukanuba is like eating McDonalds. It's crap. Innova Evo is a good one. Not sure if they have a puppy formula. I just switched to Holistic Health Extension because I got a new puppy, (I already have a 2 1/2 yr. old.) This food is for puppies and adults. This is also a very good food. I know you can get it on line. Stay away from anything they sell in big chain pet stores. |

| If you're looking for a good food that you can buy at regular the pet store, Wellness is good, as is Solid Gold...Petco carries both. Definitely do your research in the nutrition section to make sure you know what you're feeding though! |

| Is the diet section on this forum wrong then? If Royal Canin and Wellness both got an A+ in this section then why is Wellness good but Royal Canin is not? I'm confused

| We tried Wellness and Gracie did not eat it. Would not eat it. She is on Royal Canine and loves it. I went also by the A+ rating. You will find that everyone is going to have their own preference. |

| Laci loved Royal Canine, but I was told it was a terrible food to feed her, people said of course she likes it, its like eating McDonalds, a very poor quality food as it contains corn which alot of dogs are allergic too... I took her off it immediatly!!
