| Growing Like a Weed LOL When I got Penny at 5 months old she was 2lbs. I must admit she was a little on the scrawny side, but she was short too. Just overall TINY! Now that it has been two months later since I got her she is 3.5 lbs and is growing more every week! When we first started puppy classes at Petsmart, her doggy friend Zoe who is a Chihuahua was much bigger than her, now she is much bigger than the chihuahua. Is it normal for dogs to grow so much in such a short amount of time? Many thanks for you responses |

| I am a new owner also. My puppies seem to be growing 2oz per week. I don't know when they stop. Bella is 15 weeks and 2.6lbs. She got sick and didn't gain any weight for about 3 wks. Tucker is 18 weeks and 3.7lbs. I wonder if Bella will make up for the weeks that she didn't grow. I'm curious to find out other growth rates. |

| My dog is similar in size... We go to the vet every two weeks for her vaccinations and she has been 1.8, 2.4, 3.2 and then this last time was just 3.0. The vet said the decrease could be because their scales are not always super accurate (if the dog is moving, etc). I believe it was because she went to the groomer for the first time and lost a TON of fur haha. I am not too worried about it, but if she doesn't gain the next time I probably will be... I estimate that mine will be around 5 pounds (her parents were 4.5-5lbs).

| I have also noticed, at the dog park, that some Yorkies are shorter and more 'stocky,' where-as Ella is a bit taller and lanky. So, just like humans, they come in different shapes and sizes!

| They are all so different. Missy followed this growth chart exactly http://www.yorkiepassion.com/growthchart.htm but I know that some of them don't. I just love how they are all unique.

| I swear she got bigger since last night! I went to pick her up to take her outside right when I woke up and she felt heavier. Maybe it was all the poppie she had in her, she likes to poop first thing in the morning, but still she feels a lot heavier. Am I imagining things?? |

| Penny just hit 3.6lbs today! When I first posted she was 3.3lbs. When do dogs stop growing LOL I am thrilled she is still growing! Does anyone have a guess how big she might get when she is done? |
