| I saw in a video on Animal Planet that Yorkies can have the tendency to snort She could have developed an allergy too. Wishing you the best outcome at the vets! |

| When their trachea is soft it closes and makes it difficult for them to get air in and out when they are excited or scared, so it produces a "honking" sound. We took the girls to Port Hueneme and Ventura yesterday to meet up with dh sister from MN. and I think we must have walked Zada a little too far because she ended up sounding like someone having a severe asthma attack. We slept with her last night and she didn't calm till after 5 am. Today she is so out of it with no energy, but she's only coughed a couple times today, but she's still wheezing. I'm calling the orthopedic Vet. Monday (the one who operated on her) if she isn't better by then. It's so scary, but I don't think much can be done for a soft or collapsed trachea.

| I hope your little baby is ok. Sass scared us with her snorting and I was so pleased she did it in the vet office one time. She does what they call a reverse sneeze. Now I don't worry (as much) when she she does it. I hope your pup doesn't have anything serious going on.

| Hi. My friend has a Yorkie and she gets that snorting attacks when she gets to exited and or scared. I have not yet experienced that with my little one and do hope not to ever go through it though. It is very scary. What my friend does, upon instructions from the vet, is stick her finger in her Yorkies mouth and hold down her tongue, then she gently blows in her nose and about a minute or not even and her Yorkie stops with the fit. They call it anxiety attacks. Can you believe it Yorkie' also get it. Try it, maybe it works with your baby. I do wish you the best and hope that it is nothing serious.
