| When is last feeding at your house? Let me approach my problem from a different angle since I can't get any responses (only 1) to my original post. What time do you feed your baby it's last meal of the day? Please let me know age of your baby too, thanks.

| Hi Elizabeth, Sam is almost 3 (Nov) and he has always been free fed. He doesnt have a "last feeding". Now from his habits, I noticed he likes to eat a little bit right after I have finished eating, then a lil bit when I get into bed then he crawls into bed (he sleeps thru the night) then he gets up in the morning and eats some more. He is 6/12lbs.

| My dogs don't have a last feeding either. I homecook for them, and Missy gets that twice a day. There is however always kibble available for both dogs to nibble on.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I free feed also so it's always available but mine do usually get a bit to eat around 9. Mine range in age 4 yrs, 3 yrs, almost 2 and 11 months.

| let's see, Kaji is last fed at around 7-9 pm, it depends on what time we get back from his walk/doggie park. He eats at around 8 or 9 am and pretty much snacks all day if I'm home to give him snacks.

| Last feeding My last feeding is 7:00 p.m. If my dog eats after that, she gobbles down too much water late in the evening and will pee in my house in the middle of the night. If we are active doing something, she can have a biscuit later on before bedtime. She is 5 1/2 years.

| Thank you to all that responded. Here's the problem: Bandit, alais "Sir Craps alot" has been getting his last meal at 5-6 pm. He is 4 months old. I can't get him to go poo until after 11pm while he's in his crate and I'm asleep, it's just a big mess! I have tried making the crate small with just enough room for him to lay down, but he poops anyway & then steps in it, sleeps in it etc. I have tried keeping him outside with me for hours on end, nothing. What is the earliest I can feed him his last meal, so he will poo before bed?

| Ivy is about 6, Max is almost 2 and they get feed last at about 5 or 6. If I free feed Ivy would eat all the time. As it is she a little plump in the rump

| Sophie is 9 months old. She free feeds until about 7pm and then her food bowl comes up. She can have a biscuit or two after that. This system helped her become completely housebroken. We go to bed about 10pm. She sleeps through the night and gets up with us about 5am, goes outside and her food bowl goes down again. She has a doggie door. She chooses to eat about a half cup or a little more. She weighs in at about 4 lbs. Jackie & Sophie Last edited by MI Yorkielover; 09-04-2009 at 10:29 AM. |

| I free feed too . . .Rhianna nibbles all day long and just "has to" finish everything when I'm getting ready for bed at 10:00pm. She is 6 1/2 pounds and is 15 months old. Brody is 2 1/2, weighs 5 1/4 pounds and he'll nibble a bit in the morning and at regular dinner time . . .

| Feeding My babies get fed at 8AM and 4PM. Sophie the smallest is 18 months old and weighs 3-3.5 lbs. Have you tried walking him or do you let him run around in the yard. I have always found walking them encourages pooping.

This works for me as well. I feed Winston his dinner at about 6-6:30 and then at 7:30 I take him out and let him run wild in the yard with the other dogs. It take about 15 minutes but it is a guaranteed pooping time, lol.
