Yorkie Yakker | Yeast Infection My wonderful 10 yr old sugar has a very bad, chronic yeast infection in her ears and now on her skin. Has anyone heard of Enzymes or Nzymes for dogs that treat this from the inside out or is it just another myth. There is a web page that promises results with a special kit. It can run $200/Mo. Has anyone had success treating this? Thanks Sugarsmom Edie ediegrien@aol.com |

| Poor baby What kind of food does he eat? Anything with grains just feeds the yeast, making it impossible to get rid of. Check into some grain-free food for Sugar, it should help. Does his vet give him any medicine for it?

If it's just the ears (can be caused by water getting in them), you can get away with a topical product from the vet. Obviously it is more than that in this case and it is probably time to dig deeper.

| I haven't had this problem yet. But the OP post sounds good to me.

| 9 Year Male Yorkie Has Nasty Yeast Infection On Skin My nine year old male yorkie "Winston" broke out with this smelly and flaky infection 3 weeks ago and has been under treatment for the past two weeks with Ketoconazole tablets, Simplicef and ketoconazole shampoo once a week. This is the first fall/winter that he has shown any type of allergy. Usually he has a allergy to flea bite or ?? during the summer months. Help!! This is my first post! Thanks!! |

Is your dog on probiotics as i would be supplementing with probiotics and raw coconut oil as coconut oil is a natural antifungal and u can even rub the inside of the ear with a cotton ball with coconut oil on it very lightly do not put in ear just rub ear with this as many have said this works are you plucking ears? as many times that can add to problem as it opens the pores and allows infection in. First thing i would do is do a limited ingredient food | |

| i also agree with dermatologist as they deal with ear issues and all they deal with is allergies, etc and if this has been on going i would deal with a specialist |
