Default Throwing up

Hello everyone, I just have a quick question.... Daisy has been throwing up; itís not an everyday thing but maybe once a week. It scares me, take last night for instance we went to bed around 9:30 and at 11:30 she woke me up hacking and eventually throwing up on the bed. It looked like an off white color and foamy, no food or anything like that. A few mins after sheís done she seems fine, running around and just acting like a puppy. Im not sure if it is something caused by getting her spayed, (I had this done a little over a month ago) the only thing she eats is natural balance, and on occasion a piece of fruit. She had a blueberry last night. She likes to get a hold of paper and rip it apart, i've also caught her ripping a part of my hardwood floor up with her teeth, she will find a little crack in the floor and use her teeth to pull it off. I have no idea how to stop her from doing it. I will tell her no and put her in time out, but iíve been noticing pieces of the floor ripped up and in her playpen, she does not eat them. (Thatís where she brings everything she gets into. If something is missing I know I can find it there.) She will go into my purse if I leave it somewhere she can get into take out the good stuff i.e. gum, lip gloss and chew on it, but does not eat it. Sheís a big chewer and canít break her from it. But thatís beside the point; I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with the throwing up thing. Thanks for any help!

So, is this in the very early morning?
I would try feeding her right before bed and as soon as possible in the morning to make sure it isn't just bile from an empty stomach before you get too worried.

Daisy is only 4.1 lbs, so I make sure there is always dry food down for her during the day. Sometimes I give her canned food for dinner, if she's good

Yorkies stomachs are very sensitive
ANY time I change my boy's diet or give them anything new
it can start a little bit of vomiting
if it keeps up tho talk to your vet

my joey seems to get sick in the mornings if i sleep in a little longer than the normal time i get up and feed him... and it's the foamy stuff... and I found that he is probably hungry cause he doesn't get into anything...
so i normally feed him as soon as i get up and for sure right before I go to bed. that really seems to help!

Not a fan of free feeding as you can't keep tabs on what has been eaten. My baby started to throw up when she went from 2 meals to one. Now she is back on 2 but she doesn't like to eat in the mornings but she will have a nibble on scrambled egg and shes been fine since.

Roxie has done this in the past and it seemed to be about the same time and same consistancy of your description. I free feed and keep water in the bedroom bathroom so she doesn't have to go far for it. She's more of a grazer and doesn't eat much at one time so that works for us. I would also notice that on the nights she likes to crawl under the covers and sleep she'd wake up sick. I figured she was getting too warm or stuffy or something. If it's not an everyday thing it'sprobably just from empty tummy or getting too warm. If it's something your really concerned about I'd check with the vet for further information and peace of mind.

I really don't care much for canned food because I think it's too rich. I'd rather give a little yogurt, boiled chicken or like yorkie mad suggested some scrammbled egg.

Yogurt, I never thought of that. Is there a special kind to give them? Daisy loves boiled chicken, and fruit. Ill start giving her something like that at night and see how she does with it.

I'm sure others have suggestions on what they do for yogurt. I always eat the yoplait and she likes to share with me. I get the vanilla or banana flavor. She likes others but not fond of the key lime flavor. I just try to stay away from the sugar free kinds. Not sure what they have in them and some of those artificial sweeteners could be very bad for them.

Stella used to do this, and I wasn't sure if it was because she enjoys licking everything in our house, or because of an empty stomach. The vet recommended leaving her a tiny "snack"...essentially a few pieces of kibble for her before bed. Did the trick.

I would stay away from the flavored yogurts - use only plain, non-fat. The Greek yogurts are excellent. (i,e, Fage)
My dog was doing this also and I thought it was related to food. But after a 2 day stint in vet hospital to remove 3 plant pods he has not thrown up since. I am now thinking that he had the obstruction and it was causing the throw-up.

Default Pear Fruit

Hello Every one,
Well Im new at this, so bare with me.... I have been giving Toto, & Molly their regular food for the past months, I tried fruit for the first time. I gave them Pear, as it's soft, and easy to disolve in the mouth!, I would like to ask some one out there if this was such a bad idea?
Please If some on could guide me in the right direction on what type of fruits, and maybe the regular food that might be good for them..

Thank you ....
