| Dogswell food? Need to make a switch! Does anyone feed the wet and/or dry Dogswell food? I remember reading their treats were made in China, but the food is made in the US. We have been feeding Innova, but I think they are just getting sick of it and are not eating well lately, so it's time for a switch! I appreciate any feedback on it!

YT 2000 Club Member | Had my dogs on it for a few months and they loved it, did well on it and thier coats never looked better. My pup stopped itching completely. I still have them on the canned for now but have switched them over to a different dry. My local feed store was selling it but stopped. So while petdirect.com had the canned on sale I stocked up on it. I was really mad when the feed store stopped selling it. I had finally found something that all my dogs would eat and do well on and I had to switch again. I cant find it anywhere else around here and shipping costs are just to high. The food itself is on the expensive side, but to me it was worth it. Good luck with your switch.

| Thanks for the info! Complete Petmart sells it in our area. I think we have tried all the good dog foods at one time or another. We probably have been on Innova the longest, but they are just not doing well with eating it lately! Is the kibble small enough for Yorkies with the Dogswell?

| Hi Reese I know you mentioned that you have tried many other foods out there, did the pups like any of them?? I don't know why, but a company that allows their treats to made in China, does not sit well with me. Of course this is your decision and I respect that but has your lovely bunch tried Wellness, Merrick, TOTW, Artemis (will send tons of samples-awesome small breed formula), Fromm, Chicken Soup, California Natural, NV Praire, or Solid Gold?? With such a great reputation, there is little risk. Good luck, hope something entices those appetites!

You have a few listed that we haven't tried. I will check and see if these are carried locally. I appreciate the info!

| Great!! Yes, the different varieties are great and you should be able to switch proteins when you wish to give them some varieties. Let me know how they like it. Hope it works out!!

Ive tried most of those foods on your list and the only food that my dogs would eat for more than a week was totw and they had major issues with it. Its really hard finding something that your dogs will eat, like and do well on. Dogswell works for my dogs, they all looked great and are healthy. After I posted I decided to put my dogs back on it, since I took them off it thier coats are different and they seem to lack the energy they had when they were on the dogswell. I just went and ordered some from petfooddirect.com and Im going on a online search soon to see if I can find someone who sells it in my immediate area. Honestly, the fact that thier treats are made from china dont bother me. Thier foods arent. Some people wont feed certian foods made at the diamond plant (chicken soup, canidae, totw) and some people will. Its all about what works for your pets. I feel feeding my dogs dogswell brand foods work for us..

| I have had my 2 on wellness and they have been OK. However I decided to change them to California Natural, it is such a simple formula, with the least possibilities of allergies, or problems. The Wellness must have an ingredient in it that does not agree with Zander, 2-3 days after bathing him his hair would start getting very, very oily. Perhaps it's the flax seed or cottage cheese, not sure. He has been on Calif Natural in the past and he did not have the oily hair so I am sticking with CN. Lexie is on Chicken soup and does very good on that, I eventually will switch her to CN. Jazzie has done fine with foods, she has been on natures variety, innova, wellness and now CN.

| You know, when I had Zander and Jazzie on Natures Variety they both had reverse sneezing, changed them to Innova and the reverse sneezing stopped.

| My dh brought home 2 cases of Dogswell Vitality, I tried to find ratings on it but couldn't find anything. The list of ingredients is printed so small I couldn't read it. I went to their website where you can order on line. I don't know if I should start switching or not. Tricksie has a tbls. of Pedigree wet with her kibble, and that is rated the losest.

| The ingredients sound pretty good-- but wow, that is *expensive* for dog food. $22.99 for a 4 lbs bag? I pay about $12.99 for a 6 lbs bag of grain-free food from a brand that has no connections to China...

| I had mine on it, got very expensive though. I have them on innova small bites now. Dogs don't get tired of food like people. I have found, that if you find a food that is good for them, and doesn't have all those bad ingredients, keep the dog on that food, as if you keep switching, it's going to make them picky eaters. |
