Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Too early for this!!! Tics..."They're Back"...It's been so cold, I'm amazed these little brats exist...I pulled one from each of my furbutts heads lastnight. Poor Harley (my Peekapoo) is so curly I did'nt notice while brushing, but did notice while loving him, that he had a rather large bump...sure enough..engorged tic. I use frontline all year long. It's been very very cold this week. That's the one thing I hate about the woods in our backyard. I really have to check them all more closely, even in this cold Northeast weather.

| Eep! My little Riley doesn't have tics, but she does have fleas which could be causing her to be anemic. So I sympathize with you. Good luck with those though. |

| It's amazing that anything so small can survive the bitter cold we have had in NY this winter. I found a large gray tick on Buddy's head from NJ when I was there two weeks ago. I walked him in a wooded area behind by sister's house. I don't start frontline again until 4/1. It had not bored into the skin yet. I got lucky because I am always feeling around his coat for them since I keep him off the frontline from Nov-April. That was the first time I found one on him. They are gross! |

| Live in GA for a while. We have to keep Frontline on our outside dog year round. Baxter can go without Frontline for about 2 months. Luckily it has been great at controlling the fleas but I still get a tick off of him sometimes in the warm weather and he is an inside dog. Our outside dog -Lucky - a stray who came to stay with us 6 years ago - has a constant battle with ticks as he loves, loves, loves the woods. |

| I hate tics but have been luck enough not to see any, at least not yet this year! But as you said, it's been so cold and my girls are barely outside. Usually just to run out and go potty. |

| Ticks are gross! I just had to pull a tick off of my 4 month old Chewie last week. It hadn't been there long because it wasn't engorged yet, but it was so creepy. I was surprised to find one now too because I'm in the Northeast and it is still pretty cold. I put Advantix on her, but now I'm always checking.

| Hmmmmm, Winston goes through the winter months without flea/tick protection. May have to get him started again soon, like today!!!

| I treat max with K9 Advantix year round and last night I pulled a tick the size of a raisin off of him. It looked like a raisin too. Must have been from the K9Advantix. I had just put it on him last week. The tick must have attached quickly yeasterday because it was on his ear and I would have noticed it earlie in the day when I brushed him EEEEKKKKK!

| I just hate to use chemicals on my babies. Can the milksheen shampoo be used as a flea and tick repellant?

Let me add... We have gotten the K9AdV from the vet but we had not applied it yet when this happened.

| I really like the K9 Advantix for Max. Last year after we switched I did not see any ticks on him for all summer. I used Frontline 2 times and had to pull off 3 ticks. Because I use it year round here in MD, technically I had not seen a tick or flea on him for 10 months. Also, I was a week late using the K9Advantix this month but he still had had it on him for a week before I saw this tick. EWWWWWWWW! This must have been one desperate tick! LOL
