| Oh, and since I PERSONALLY don't like to use products with preservatives in them, I won't PERSONALLY buy this one. HOWEVER this is MY choice for MY family. I think we all should do what makes us feel good about caring for our loved ones and we certainly shouldn't be degraded for it. sheesh. |

| well i am happy to hear everyones opinions, good and bad, on this product. it is good that people are doing so much research. our babies depend on us to take the best possible care of them since they really cannot take care of themselves. i am one of the people who did have a positive experience after using this product only a couple of times. i know about the "placebo effect" and this was not it. i am not too proud or would not be embarrassed to admit that i thought i was seeing results or did for only a short period of time and in the end was wrong and i kind of take offense to someone saying this is the case. it might be for some people but it did irritate me that someone made a statement like that about people they do not even know. i guess the comment just annoyed me but it is probably because i was home all day with a fever and flu LOL. good for everyone who is hesitant about this product - it shows you are responsible pet owners who only want the best for their dogs - and good for the people who feel okay about using this product and are seeing results. as with anything (food, toys, even wee wee pads lol) what works for some does not work for all as long as i continue to see results, i will use this product! bentley has a lot less gunk in his eyes since using this so i am thrilled

| You no I have been breeding yorkies for years. But when I had a question or concern the only thng I had to turn to was my vet or looking around on the internet for products. Some I buy that work others don't. When I finally stumbled onto YT I felt like I finally had other people who understood what my concerns were and I could trust would give me some great advise. I sit on here sometimes for hours reading reply's especially from Elli May she rocks. I love hearing pros and cons from people it gives me the opportunity to make more sound decisions on the health and welfare of my babies and adult dogs. So I thank all of you for all your help and unconditional love to all our 4 legged babies. I also have a rescue yorkie that has eye gunk problems that aggrivate her and I have one that has ear problems that I have tried tons of products on been to various vets but she is still has ears that really bother her. I feel like a bad Mommy sometimes because I just don't no what product to try next or how to make my babies feel better. Now I will order calm eye and if that isn't working than I will try Gen Teal until I can make a difference with this babies eyes. |

| Eye Gunk & a treat It's part of our nightly ritual. After dinner and play time we snuggle on the couch and Sully gets brushed and then I get a warm cloth and slowly and gently wipe the gunk holding it there to get it soft so it comes out easier. After that he gets either a baby carrot or a Charlie Bear treat. He now knows when he sees the brush coming that a treat will soon follow. |

| i just placed an order for the calm coat eye and ear solution. Can't wait to get it. We should be getting it soon since it was shipped yesterday. Will let everyone know my review on the product. Charlie has bad eye gunk. However, since I switched him to distilled water..His eye gunk is doing a lot better. |

| Does anyone on this thread feed raw?? I am just wondering if it has to do with diet, I think it does in some cases. I have been contemplating doing a rotation diet w/ raw and kibble and wonder if this 1 small problem would be eliminated. I wonder..... In the meantime, there is another thread active right now suggesting vinegar in water helps eliminate the gunk. I am trying it today, I put about 1/2 tsp in Snicks water. Regular white distilled vinegar.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I feed raw and it did improve Wylie's eyes. Marcel's eyes are better at certain times of the year - right now with pollen so high, his eyes are gooky.

| Just an FYI. I found this site and it explains a lot. Apparently Yorkies are predisposed to dry eye. It is called KCS. (Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca) DRY EYE IN DOGS - Chinaroad Lowchens of Australia I have also looked at sites that explain KCS. My vet did test Chip and did not think that Chip needed the tear stimulant just the tear replacement. He also told me that there are three "ingredients" to a dogs tears, with water being the largest and that the "gunk" is from the other two "ingredients". I thought that the gunk was occurring due to too much tearing. Goes to show ya - I need to think less sometimes. |

| Hey carmen in NJ...THANKS! Anytime any Yorkie mommy (or daddy) finds a product they find beneficial post about it. That is what keeps me here, learning about ways to benefit my girl. Shoot! I would probably still be feeding Iams if it weren't for this site lol I am glad the posts have turned to a more pleasant mood |

| Does anyone have before and after pics of there pups eyes with using any products? I'm really trying to find something, Finnigan's eyes are getting so bad this spring. Wiping them out daily isn't helping much. I've heard of so many things to try. Anyone have something that almost completely cleared the eyes? Please keep posting updates as you use this, I'll be really interested in purchasing it if more seem to have great results! Who knew a thread about eye gunk could get so heated....

| yay! charlie and I just got our calm eye and ear solution today. We used it. The calm ear actually made his ears smell nicer. I have a hard time wiping his eyes with the solution. Hopefully he will get use to it. Andrea was so sweet. She included a the oatmeal shampoo for us. I used it on him right away too. So far we are happy with calm coat and will be ordering more when we are done with these. |
